not sure if this is a bug but i dont rank up?

im still initiate one 40+ hours in even though i top frag almost every game even when we lose. i am playing like only infernus but the game keeps giving me him so its not like ENTIRELY my fault but yea. my friends are alchemist but i stay initiate one. even my bad friend who normally gets under 10k dmg per game and sub 5 kills is alchemist from playing with me and our other pal who is almost arcanist LOL is it because im one tricking p much or is it a bug? or maybe its because when i first tried the game 4 months ago i went on a huge losing streak while learning the game?? my infernus is currently 33 games with 18 wins because of that but the last few days ive been playing we have won about 75%ish of our matches

I was oracle 3 in NA, and then I quit for a month (was moving to SEA region). I got placed at seeker after my rank decay.
I JUST ranked back up to mid archon; (archon 3 iirc)

And I'm on a break rn, probably a couple more weeks. And I'm sure that I'm gonna be placed into initiate-seeker.

The MM + placement is just awful, and it really does a disservice to both existing players and to new players. I really don't know who this ranking system helps. How could it even be useful in collecting data when games are uneven stomp fests?
