Hi! Since the old gods new bloods update on January 22 I have played roughly 150 matches, and have had an overwhelmingly negative experience! I was curious as to why my matches were so hard, and I realized that since that patch my rank has gone UP two whole tiers (oracle 2 to oracle 4) despite my 42% Winrate over 150 matches.
This might be due to a number of factors, but I suspect it is because I play predominantly with a premade of 6 players, and I am relatively consistently in the top 50% of the lobby in stats. I believe the system might be preventing me from losing MMR due to good performance in losses, and awarding me too much MMR for performing well in victories.
Please fix this. I could not care less about ranked, it's just the metric that surprised me initially. I just want the occasional fairly made match back. Nearly every game since the ranked adjustments in January has felt one-sided, and it's a testament to how insanely good the core gameplay is that I kept playing at all. Victories are always a 60 minute uphill slog, and the losses are always so brutal.
I really love this game already (so much so that I often paint the characters on my weekends too!), but I just cant play anymore. The matches are so poorly made at this point (and actively getting worse) that it just doesn't even make sense to even try. If I do play now I'll just have to lose even more after this is fixed before I get decent matches again.
