New Hero Idea: Emberlyn

Ability 1: Molotov
Throws a Molotov cocktail that ignites a 9-meter radius area for 5 seconds, dealing 30 damage per second. Enemies continue to take damage for an additional 2 seconds after leaving the burning area.
Scale: 0.7x
Cooldown: 26s
Upgrades:
1. -12s cooldown.
2. +1m radius and +1s duration.
3. +45 dps.

Ability 2: Incendiary Bullets
Your bullets ignite the target, dealing 15 damage per second for 3 seconds.
Scale: 0.7x
Duration: 8s
Cooldown: 36s
Upgrades:
1. -12s cooldown.
2. Reduces healing from ignited enemies by 30%.
3. +30 dps.

Skill 3: Glide (Passive)
Increases slide Distance by 10%, can climb hills, and can spin faster while sliding.
Upgrades:
1. +25% slide distance.
2. +2 stamina.
3. +20% spiritual and ballistic lifesteal while sliding.

Skill 4: Blessing of Flames (Passive)
You gain a stack of Blessing of Flames for each enemy hero you kill.
Maximum Stacks: 10
Bonuses per stack:
1. +2% ballistic and spiritual resistance.
2. +1% stamina recovery.
3. +50 souls per enemy hero killed.
Upgrades:
1. +1% stamina recovery per stack.
2. +8% firerate per stack.
3. +50 souls per enemy hero killed per stack.
 
Well,thats basically Vyper plus Infernus,Im also not telling we can't have another fire champion,but if we do it should be done more creatively because im sorry,but thats just unimaginative(I also made,kind of a fire champion idea,but it was rather alcohol powers combined with flare gun of hero)

The important thing is that the hero is fun to play and this one certainly would be, if you want to be creative then you would have to delete 90% of the game's heroes, who basically throw bombs or knives.

I do understand that Deadlock already has basically shitton of hybrid gun characters(which I kind of hate, because its boring),but this is just combining two chars that were cancer and still are pretty annoying to fight together feels more like "I want to shit on people for funsies" rather then actually fun design.
Although knife and bombs are pretty generic and overall simplistic or repetitive move sets in Valve games are pretty typical thing,I don't think that caving into blantantly copying and blending chars for having fun gameplay is not right,its what made every other LoL champion bad for me when I played it,it was dumbass design,it was boring,any new champ will just have same shit,will be capable of doing everything and being basically one man army without anything asymmetrical to gameplay that would make them weak.
In the end I would say, despite movesets on heroes not being as original,they definitely feel different on every champion that has same bomb,but different ways to actually achieve that bomb hitting and being used.

It's the same here. Similar skills with different ways of using them.
 
And honestly, Emberlyn would be a hero that would make me want to play again, currently, all the heroes seem like shit to me, boring, only Viper's game is the only hero that's fun to play, it would be good to have another hero with similar mechanics, we have several heroes that throw knives (haze, shiv, viper), several that throw bombs (geist, kelvin, wrath, warden, ivy), several that jump (lash, holliday) but we don't have any other hero besides viper with a skill based on sliding, it would be good to have one more.

And instead of gaining resistance to sliding, she would gain lifesteal, but I think I would change skill 2 from incendiary bullet to explosive bullet, it would be more interesting and different, each shot would cause an explosion in a small radius, like 2-3m.
 
And seeing the spoilers for the new heroes that are coming, I have even less desire to play again, it seems like they are motivated to release shitty heroes.

Well again,not really the same,u just propose character that is heavily snowballing,hyper carry all around good character that does quintilions of damage,thats basically Vyper + Infernus.
If u feel like everyone is boring and weak and u just like Vyper,thats well, because outside of people being able to counter her,yes,she does still insane damage,with having safety and shit.
Character is just overloaded,u just urself like to be solo player above else,thats what hyper carry is,and this hyper carry is most ADHD one there is.
I understand that characters sometimes people want overloaded best kits,but calling new coming out characters trash just because they don't have sliding and don't have 1000 dps is weird.
I for example would love to play as Priest or Frank,and Frank specifically because character is slow and menacing tank,and that's what I like.
Emberling would just be "instead of poison,its fire" and Vyper poison is already pretty weirdly implemented to be nor useful nor useless and acting as early "execute with point and click" overall building character around just slidin and shooting where its fun gameplay yes,but its not particularly fully done,she still needs significant changes to how she actually played,but this idea,is still more boring than what Vyper is right now if take anything on her kit except sliding
