New Hero Character - Timesweeper

He's a time-oriented character with steampunk elements like watches and clocks etc.

Active Abilities:

1. Rewind - Timesweeper targets an enemy to reverse/retrace their movement for 5 seconds
Level Up:
Level 1: Increases Rewind duration (+3 seconds)
Level 2: Deals damage to the target per second for the duration of the ability
Level 3: Allows Rewind to affect multiple targets (hero and candle troopers) within a small radius

2. Time Bubble - Timesweeper creates a circular zone, trapping enemies within a bubble that slows their movement and attack speed. Allies within the bubble gain increased movement and attack speed.

Level Up:
Level 1: Increases Time Bubble duration and slow/haste effect.
Level 2: Adds a damage amplification effect for allies within the bubble.
Level 3: Allows Time Bubble to be detonated, dealing damage to enemies based on the time they spent within it.

3. Chronal Dash - Timesweeper dashes a short distance, leaving behind a temporal afterimage that taunts and damages nearby enemies. After a brief delay, the afterimage explodes, dealing additional damage and applying a short stun.
Level Up:
Level 1: Increases dash distance and afterimage damage.
Level 2: Adds a brief invulnerability window during the dash.
Level 3: Allows Timesweeper to leave behind multiple afterimages, with each subsequent afterimage dealing reduced damage.

4. Temporal Paradox (Ultimate) - Timesweeper targets multiple enemies within a small radius, creating a duplicate of themselves and attacking them. The duplicates attack their original, dealing 50% percent of the original's own damage output. After a short duration, the duplicates self-destruct, dealing massive damage to the target and nearby enemies.

Level Up:
Level 1: Increases the damage output.
Level 2: Adds a slow effect
Level 3: Increases the number of duplicates to 2 per target

I like the concept of your hero design, but I think all of its abilities are too control heavy. Disposition, slow, stun and taunt.

I think it would be better if you removed the taunt effect from Chronal Dash, or reworked the ability to be a delayed stun so you can combo it with Rewind.

Just know that being able to reposition enemies, by pulling them back to where they were 5-8 seconds ago is a very strong ability to have.

Thanks for the feedback! I envisioned Chronal Dash to be Timesweeper bringing a variant of himself from another timeline where he took a different action. To distinguish between him and the variant, I envisioned it to have a semi-transparent body like an afterimage. But a delayed stun would be good too and it complements Rewind better!

I also just realized know that yeah it's too control heavy lol. I'll have to think about balancing him now.

Here's another ability I'm also brainstorming:

Temporal Exchange:

For 20 seconds, Timesweeper manipulates time to channel the abilities from his future self into his present self, temporarily enhancing all his passive stats. After 20 seconds, he enters into a weakened form for the same duration before returning back to normal.

The empowered form has all its passive abilities improved +25%. It's the same with his weakened form where it's -25%.

Mechanics:
1. Timesweeper activates Temporal Exchange
2. Timesweeper transforms into his empowered form for 20 seconds.
3. After the empowered form ends, Timesweeper enters his weakened form for an equal duration.
4. Temporal Exchange has a cooldown (30 seconds or more) to prevent frequent switching and encourage strategic use.

Level Up:

Level 1: Increases the duration of both empowered and weakened forms.
Level 2: Reduces the cooldown of Temporal Exchange.
Level 3: Allows Timesweeper to end his weakened form early with a brief cooldown penalty.

Timesweeper's Lore:

Eamon never chose the life of a chimney sweep, but fate had been kind to him. For amidst the soot and grime, he stumbled upon an enigmatic contraption—a pocket watch that can create localized manipulations of the space-time fabric. With this discovery, Eamon rebranded himself as the Timesweeper, a man destined to bend the very fabric of reality to his will.

Drawn to the bustling streets of New York, Eamon found himself entangled in a web of deceit and power. Feigning allegiance to the Patrons, he sought to harness their divine might, all the while harboring a secret ambition that burned like a relentless flame within him. For Eamon, the power to manipulate time was not a gift, but a burden—a burden he would bear with unyielding patience.

He would endure a millennia of subservience, to suffer the indignities of servitude, if it meant that at the end of his journey, he would finally possess the power to force back the hands of the clock to the time before the Maelstrom, where he could finally feel the warmth of his late family, where he could finally lay in wait to slaughter the supernatural trespassers and liberate the world from the hands of the Patrons.

In time, he would have his revenge.

i love this concept, but i have an extreme but really cool idea for the ult, whenever their ult is used, the game goes back in time to how everything was 10 seconds ago in a bubble around yourself, everything in that bubble gets frozen, and the steps get traced back in 3 seconds before time resumes in the bubble
