Mystic Skateboard

Felt like the newly added Magic Carpet could've used a precursor to build into it before fully committing to a 6k movement-based item, so here it is. The Mystic Skateboard.

The Mystic Skateboard is a Tier 2 (1,200 souls) active item that grants the player 3.5 m/s during its activation (last for 12 seconds, 30 second cooldown) alongside an 8% spirit resist, and 50 health base bonus. While in use, not only does the player get a significant boost in their movement speed, but they also get a bonus of a 10 spirit with a special modifier that grants the player 3+ additional spirit for each trick performed through a jump + dash combo (consumes stamina) and resets on cooldown.

I think this could add some fun movement variety to spirit build heroes while trying to max stamina for spirit bonuses.

Here's a pic I put together as a concept;

Yes because after the great item that has been Magic Carpet that they will have to keep overbuffing in order for anybody to use, we need another gimmick silly movement item that will be useless on everybody and might break one character only at the same time.

Also, skateboard? It's cool and funny but just doesn't make sense for good gameplay, the carpet thing alone was a stretch.

Carpet was weird... for how expensive it is, basically just being an escape item with no really good benefit, yeah. It's no wonder it basically became a flop except for backline support units.

This could use some genuine usage, as it ACTUALLY has BUFFS to attacks instead of disabling them; maybe... how about-

Mystic Skateboard (BosoBr0 rendition) - 3,000 cost Spirit Active item
+1 HP/s Regen
+4 Spirit
+1 m/s Move Speed
ACTIVE (100s Cooldown)
Upon activation, become Disarmed, Silenced, and unable to move for 2s while you deploy and hop on a Mystical Skateboard.
Pressing W or S will begin to accelerate/decelerate the skateboard in its forward or reverse direction. Holding A or D will lean your character to begin turning, only while moving; letting go stops the lean.
The Skateboard has a max speed of 2x your normal Move Speed and struggles to go uphill.
While on the Skateboard, jumping normally performs a Kickflip; pressing space shortly after landing on the ground grants you +2 Spirit Power and +2% Fire Rate. Performing a Dash-Jump performs an Accelerated Ollie, granting you +5 Spirit Power and +5% Fire Rate for the cost of one stamina; failing the timing on either will consume 1 stamina and stun you for 1 second, ending the ability.
The Skateboard can be ended at any time by pressing the ability key again; it will end after 15 seconds of being deployed naturally.

Epic, But it will get mandatory as boots right now. Needs heavy tradeoffs and balancing, like getting stunned if you receive damage or something. Otherwise its a free bail out and hit and run thing.

I think it's cool but it feels kinda anachronistic to have a skateboard in a 1920's setting. A magic carpet is more reasonable since it came from Arabic folklore.

the skateboard comes from American folklore, tales told of a legendary Hawk that bestowed upon the citizens of New York the gift of the 'Skateboard'.

  • Getting hit with any stun will cause you to fall off in addition to the effects of the stun

  1. Successfully landing tricks earns you a stacking "Combo Amp" which multiplies the rewards from each trick
  2. Falling off Mystic Spirit board causes you to be stunned for 2 seconds, hurt for 10% HP and lose any accumulated buffs
  3. Buffs are otherwise lost 5 seconds after leaving the board
  4. While using Mystic Spirit board, Either Superman by Goldfinger, No Jumper Cables - Aesop Rock, Born Fe Rebel or Deadly Sinners will play to alert enemies of your location
  5. Tricking over an enemy player causes a debuff on them
  6. Tricking over certain spots (Midboss, Shrines, Bridges) gives you bonus combo

Should 100% let us activate the skateboard and grind on the Zipline to instantly get the Zipline knockdown immunity
