I've been looking to start playing Deadlock recently, and everything has been working fine except for loading into proper matches. When I do find a match and start loading into it, the game completely freezes and crashes shortly after.
I decided to try and load the main map manually by using the console, and out of the lines that appear, there are three that I believe are related to the problem:
"[Entity System] Attempting to precache model for entity -1 [destroyable_building] at 0.00 0.00 0.00, but model name is NULL"
"[ResourceSystem] Failed loading resource "materials/sprites/blueglow1.vmat_c" (ERROR_FILEOPEN: File not found)"
"[ResourceSystem] Failed loading resource "models/npc/t2_bull.vmdl_c" (ERROR_FILEOPEN: File not found)"
I'm still *very* new to all this so I apologize if this has an obvious solution I'm not aware of, but I've tried multiple methods to no avail. (tried reinstalling the game, reinstalling Steam, verifying file integrity, using different versions of Proton)
If it helps, I'm on Linux Mint, I'm currently using Proton Experimental, and I have "-no_prewarm_map" in the launch options as the game also crashes without it. I'd be more than happy to get some more information if it is needed.
