I really enjoy Mirage, both the concept behind his archetype and his personality, but he's also a very tricky Hero at the moment to enjoy during a match, especially in early phases before buying those essential items for finally taking advantage of his kit, which is not really great, at least from my humble opinion.
The scarabs are the issue.
Not only are they unsatisfying to launch and still lack a punch after the changes, but they just don't synergize with the rest of his kit.
I think it would really help Mirage's reputation and early phases if the Scarabs were to properly interact with the rest of his kit, especially Djinn's Mark, through a built-in (and limited) Ricochet system:
Scarabs should be able to enable Ricochet between 2 enemies that are both afflicted by them, with one (or more) additional links added as the Skill progresses through the game; with the Max Health Steal procked once Djinn's Mark procks too.
The casting of the Skill should also change, maybe in the same fashion as Wraith's Card Trick, where the projectile follows a semi-accurate oming track, with a better feedback on hit to make it really pop.
Alternatively, a more disrupting way could be the Scarabs to become a small AoW grenade like Graves' Jar of Death, where enemies caught in the AoE, or that walks in it, are then "infested" by the Scarabs, applying the aforementioned effect.
