Because telekinesis has a variable delay rather than a set one, and raises you out of melee range, it is a worse version of seven's delayed stun.

I'm vindicated by the fact that they nerfed his 1 almost immediately after releasing him. You're seriously undervaluing easy-to-land hard CC being on such a low cooldown in a game with headshots and generally absurd burst damage output.Yes yes, you got killed by the new hero and therefor he's extremely overpowered.
Has nothing to do with the comment you are replying to. People are saying "it's a better Wraith ultimate" and start discussing this as if a reasonable statement. It is not. A root is a vastly inferior form of CC to a stun.
In Dota 2 there is an item called Rod of Atos, which has insane cast range, little cooldown and roots a target for 2 seconds. Had this been a stun every hero in every game would pick it up due to how broken it would be. Rooting someone is a form of dispositioning someone. If they are rooted while already in a good position it does almost nothing. If they had been stunned initiating on them would be without any form of risk.
Characters with abilities that remove player agency via knockups and roots.
Bebop Grab and Punch
Dynamo Kinetic Pulse
Gray Talon Immobilizing Trap
Lash Ground Strike (T2)
Mirage Tornado
Mo & Krill Burrow
Viscous Puddle Punch
Warden Binding Word
Vindicta Stake
Honorable Mention Stuns and Semi-stuns:
Ivy Stone Form
McGuinness Wall (T3)
Seven Static Charge
Haze Sleep Dagger
Paradox Kinetic Carbine
Turns out there are a bunch of abilities that provide hard CC effects that temporarily remove player agency as base skills in their kit
opinion about the RNG: yes I hope we get the most amount of randomness out of the gameMirage's 1 is insanely broken and I honestly think the devs need to consider reworking the skill entirely. Bullet Evasion is an absolutely awful stat by the way and I hope the devs stop to put this RNG crap into the game and just stick with resists instead.
This is what seems to be getting ignored. Roots are borderline just as bad as stuns, and for characters without movement abilities, they basically are. This game is heavily balanced around movement and dodging, you take that away and you are a sitting duck.Being able to shoot doesn't really remedy that you're going to die instantly as you're now lifted out of cover and not moving.
Mirage 1:
Is invulnerable
Grants bullet evasion
Roots enemies and lifts them for extremely easy kills
And has an extremely forgiving cooldown.
It's wildly overtuned. Some characters don't have all that in their entire kit, much less a single ability.
Ah yes let me kill my opponents by defending myself and also choose hugs over offence because a single ability out of 24 on the opposition team warrants it.sister, your metal skin? your colossus? unstoppable? your basic bullet resist?
I never claimed it wasn't overpowered. You can feel "vindicated" all you want. My problem was with the terrible comparison to Wraith's ultimate. I am also extremely wary of people who scream nerfs on day 1. Just because Valve agreed with you this time does not mean you knew what you were talking about.I'm vindicated by the fact that they nerfed his 1 almost immediately after releasing him. The biggest problem of wraiths ult was that you are a stationary head ready for 6 people to headshot you with ease. Stun ? Who cares by that point, you are as good as dead, because teammates do chase that Wraith's ult like bees chasing honey. And Mirages simple spammable skill allows to do the same, affecting entire team not just a single target. The nerfs were definitely needed.I never claimed it wasn't overpowered. Sigh, I'm not sure why I even bother anymore. The biggest problem of wraiths ult was that you are a stationary head ready for 6 people to headshot you with ease. Stun ? Dynamos first skill might be similar but at no point in time it keeps the head hitbox stationary of the victim, a trained dynamo can of course land all headshots because the knockup curve is constant from one use of the ability to the next one, but that skill translates harder to the entire team.
Hard CC is Hard CC. Sorry to burst your bubble.A root is not "kind of the same thing" as a stun. It never was, in any moba ever. Stop pretending you know what you are talking about when you clearly don't.
Believe it or not, you can use debuff remover and you're good, thats not the case once youre in the wraith ult.Stun or not who cares, you are a stationary target, and in a game where stationary means death, it is a better wraith ult.
I played only in the beginning of the beta and then didn't for a few weeks, a few minutes ago I came back to play with a friend of mine and both of our playtimes in that first match consisted of being stunned by the levitation and then 2/3 shotted while in it (EARLY GAME)Mirage levitation skill when maxed out has a cooldown of 18s without any items and is able to levitate the enemy for 2s, while wraith ultimate that does pretty much the same thing has a cooldown of 67 seconds when maxed out but the player stays on the air only for 1.75s, I don't think that this is fair cause if you are in a team fight and gets levitated by mirage is totally over for you
exactly i swear this is the logicyes, it only makes sense that wraith players should auto-win duels. they are good players, and good players should win
pretty much the same thing is not the same thing i can cast items i can fire back i can cast spells. unless you pre unstopable ot use an immunity you are about to eat shit from 3 cards and 200 bullets from wraith. they are not the same. they lift? yes one is an ult so it stuns, lash knocks up krill knocks up. is it strong? yes its an immunity that gives defensive stats, kind of why both the cc and the stats have been nerfed now. its quite annoying but its no way close to an aoe aimbot stunMirage levitation skill when maxed out has a cooldown of 18s without any items and is able to levitate the enemy for 2s, while wraith ultimate that does pretty much the same thing has a cooldown of 67 seconds when maxed out but the player stays on the air only for 1.75s, I don't think that this is fair cause if you are in a team fight and gets levitated by mirage is totally over for you
so you can shoot back and parry if they try to do a heavy punch. maybe you aos didnt know you can parry lash knock up. took me a while until enemies started doing for the longest people i faced didn't know. is it a cc? yes its also his immunity so if he doesnt get you or space well enough he's not really escaping. things like wraith ult and seven stun you more likely want to immune them so then you dont have the cc or escape so they probably should use them to escape you. Just dont give them the knock and the immunity value. then you get farmed (slowing hex does a long way, for him and for wraith and any movement freak)Stun or not who cares, you are a stationary target, and in a game where stationary means death, it is a better wraith ult.
