Metal Skin prevents some but not all effects from bullets, and it is confusing. It prevents Wraith's Spirit Damage on hit, as well as Vindicta's. It doesn't appear to stop any other rider effects from bullets.
Metal Skin should probably say 'Take no damage from bullets' or 'Prevents all damage from bullets' rather than 'Become immune to bullets', or it should stop these other bullet rider effects like Spirit Shredder Bullets, Toxic Bullets, etcetera. 'Become immune to bullets' to me says that Metal Skin should, yknow, stop bullets from doing things to you. The current description is quite misleading- I am expecting it to work against eg Infernus' Afterburn, when it very plainly does not now that I have tested it.
