Melee-Support Hero Concept, Sheretz, Whose Body Is a Swarm of Insects!

I heard a rumor that The Doorman—my favorite character, and main—was originally a fan concept, and then I saw the love that The Rat King was getting, and realized that I could come up with my own hero and maybe get enough traction to get her as loved and perpetuated by the community as The Rat King. Since I wanted her kit to be one I believe I would have the most fun with, I modeled it slightly after Doorman's in terms of movement, but tried to make each ability as unique as I could. Her archetype is support, however she is also a heavily movement and melee based character, with the most potential in the middle of a teamfight, which due to her ability set will actually allow her to heal her teammates most effectively. I would imagine she would perform best with a Victor, Billy, or Abrams in late game. In lane, she would most likely be best used to punish over extending by cutting off the return route of the foe and killing them up close.

# FIRST ABILITY: Bugs & Bandages
## Active
Explode all of your wraps outwards, maxxing out your Peel Away stacks and dealing heavy spirit damage to all enemies within the explosion radius per stack gained, before quickly losing the same amount of stacks as you gained over a short period of time.

## Level One:
Steal 0.5 stamina from every enemy caught in the explosion

## Level Two:
Heal allies in the radius of the explosion, including yourself, for a percentage of the total damage dealt to enemies by the explosion

## Level Three:
Increased spirit scaling and healing percentage

## Enhancement:
Increased radius per stack of Peel Away

# SECOND ABILITY: Textile Transmission
## Active
Place an extra set of wrapping where you're aiming within range, if you are within teleportation range of this set of wrappings, you may recast Textile Transmission to teleport to it's position after a short casting period, and heal for a small percentage of missing health. If an enemy deals damage to you during the casting period, you will be stunned for 3 seconds.

## Level One:
Deal spirit damage to enemies within close range of the landing site

## Level Two:
Stun enemies within close range of the landing site for 1 second

## Level Three:
Carry the closest ally within a short range with you upon finishing casting, healing them for a more significant percentage of missing health than you would yourself

## Enhancement:
Increased placement and teleportation range per stack of Peel Away

# THIRD ABILITY: Peel Away
## Passive
As you take damage, the bandages around your body are unraveled, granting stacks of Peel Away, up to a certain maximum. Each stack of Peel Away enhances aspects of your other abilities, but also causes you to take increased damage from enemy heroes. All stacks will be lost on death. Landing a melee on an enemy will grant a stack of Peel Away, a heavy melee will grant two.
## Active
You may hold down the third ability keybind as long as you like to rewrap yourself, causing you to lose stacks over time. While rewrapping yourself, you are silenced, and disarmed, but have your movement speed and stamina regeneration slightly buffed. These effects will linger for one second after you cease rewrapping yourself.

## Level One:
Reduced extra damage taken per stack of Peel Away

## Level Two:
Rewrapping yourself also minimally heals you

## Level Three:
Stacks lost by rewrapping yourself will not be lost on enhancements until after a short delay, this does not allow these stacks to multiply, or exceed the existing stack limit

# ULTIMATE ABILITY: Swarm
## Charged, 1 Base Charge
You may consume a charge to send a swarm after an enemy or ally target. The swarm will begin flying towards the target and attempt to pick them up, if it successfully does so, it will begin carrying them back towards you while either damaging or healing them over time, depending if they are an enemy or ally. An enemy may escape a swarm simply by successfully timing a dash jump, however the swarm will then promptly begin following them once more. The swarm can be destroyed by gun fire, as it has a certain amount of health. Alternatively, it can be waited out, as it also has a certain lifespan. Multiple swarms may be active at once, but not on the same target, and while the delay between charges is negligible, each charge has a very long cooldown.

## Level One:
Increased target selection range

##Level Two:
+1 Charge

## Level Three:
Enemies will suffer majorly decreased stamina regeneration upon exiting the swarm

## Enhancement:
Increased swarm health per stack of Peel Away

# BACKSTORY:
Once a curator at OSIC, Vanessa Moreau was tasked with a nigh impossible mission; to arrive at the Valley of Kings, to prevent the Paradox organization from stealing a powerful and valuable ancient Egyptian artifact, before they themselves got there.

She did accomplish her mission, however it did not go as planned. As Vanessa entered the tomb of Rameses II, so too did an agent of Paradox. In the ensuing fight, the Idol of Sheretz fell directly into Vanessa's bare hands. The instant it's accursed copper surface touched a human's skin for the first time in millenia, the pebbles and stones of the tomb began to vibrate, they transformed into thousands of insects, of all kinds. They swarmed Vanessa, and while the Paradox agent made their escape, she was eaten alive.

While Vanessa's body died, her soul was forced to live on by the idol, being manifested as the hivemind of the swarm that had consumed her, and taking the name of the idol itself. Waking up days after her own death, at first terrified and confused by her new form, Sheretz quickly came to reason, and knew she had to return to the OSIC.

Before departing the tomb, Sheretz had found that being a single soul betwixt so many bodies was incredibly strenuous, physically, and mentally, so she bound herself with cloths and bandages to keep her swarm contained.

The OSIC granted her early retirement for her distressed and uncontrollable state. Several years after the incident, she now competes in the ritual seperate of an agency, not in hopes of wishing for the restoration of her body, but rather for the dismantling of the entire Paradox organization, across all of space and time.

# CHARACTER DESIGN:
Sheretz has loose bandages and wrappings all over her body, with the exception of two eyeholes that glow purple, as well as on the back of her head, where there is a head of hair and a ponytail poking through the wrappings, which is actually comprised entirely of centipedes and worms. The only clothes she wears over the wrappings are a pair of cargo shorts, and a raggedy OSIC curator uniform tied around her waist.

# GUN:
Her gun is a burst fire weapon with a DPS on the lower end of the scale, and a damage drop off designed to optimize it for mid range usage.

# STATS:
Sheretz's healing effectiveness scales slightly with spirit power

Higher end melee damage

Three base stamina

# INTERACTION LORE:
Sheretz is still quite young and expresses dissapointment and shame in having to retire from a job she loved so much so early, which is admittedly one of the reasons she decided to partake in the ritual.

Sheretz is good friends with Haze, but has not seen her since her retirement.

Sheretz is able to come to terms with her grotesque death and transformation because of her prior love for bugs. She claims to be able to recite the scientific names of every single bug in her swarm.

Sheretz is capable of tasting food and drinks the same way she would have as a human when her swarm consumes them. She purports that this is all the humanity she needs.

Sheretz acknowledges that while her death was extrenely painful, and lasted for hours, she prefers not to think about it and would rather only think of the future.

Venator asks Sheretz, "Do you know the meaning of the crimson worm, lass?" to which she responds, "Kermes Ilicis, of course." Venator replies, "I hope that death hasn't made you lose hope."

# Anyways,
thanks for reading the suggestion, y'all! I feel like the character design choices are a bit lackluster, either her design would benefit from small details like bugs coming out of the loose wrappings, or she'd need and entire visual revamp. Obviously the wrappings would still be a necessary part, and I really like the idea of a worm and centipede based hair and the ripped OSIC uniform, but if anyone has any suggestions or ammendments feel free to share them. Even more importantly if you have balancing issues with her, please share those too! I haven't decided on any exact numbers though, so if the kit is within the range of being balanced it could just be fixed with those. I've only been playing Deadlock since the Old Gods update, but it's already one of my favorite ever games, and to see a character as fun as I think this would be would be so awesome, so please share this if you like it!
