Heavy melee cancel (HMC) was a fun mechanic, that allowed characters with slower movement to catch up to the rest of the cast. To me the game is more fun with a high degree of movement and diversity in options for movement.
If the issue with HMC the difficulty of balancing fleetfoot and melee charge together, when these items are frequently individually. Then I hope an attempt can be made at bringing the mechanic back, by having an item that does the same as HMC.
I have attached an image, showing a suggestion of this. It is an upgrade to Melee Charge, costing a total of 4,250 Souls.

Stats are basically just doubled from what Melee Charge has.
