Before today, the soul reward for McGinnis turrets functioned like this: The enemy had to physically last hit the turret to spawn an orb, and 100% of the turrets soul value was in said orb. The orb would float for a long time, at least twice as long as regular minion soul orbs. If the enemies secured it, they would get 100% of the turrets value, which would be duplicated if there was a second enemy nearby. IE if a turret was worth 40 souls, enemy kills it an secures the soul, that enemy, and their lane mate both get 40 souls each. McGinnis however could deny the orb, just as any other, and get 40 souls herself.
As of one of the small updates today, this has completely changed: Enemies killing the turret get 50% of the turrets value instantly, with 50% of the turrets value left in the soul orb. If McGinnis denies the soul orb, she receives 50% souls. The soul value of turrets has also been doubled, so killing a turret will instantly give the enemies more than what the turret was worth in it's entirety just yesterday. As an example, that means that say turrets are worth, at the same time as before, 80 souls now. The enemy kills a turret, and gains 40 souls, that is then split to the 2 enemies as roughly 20 souls each. The orb spawns, and the enemy secures it, gaining another 2 souls each. If McGinnis denies the orb, she would get the 40.
This must be a bug, as the soul orb still behaves like old ones with its very long life span, and also because this would be an insane nerf to shadow drop on a hero with no notice or patch.
