McGinnis has a very low pic rate with very little success, with he lack of built in mobility, protection, and burst dmg. With the wider lanes even her walls are not as effective as before. Her turrents scale poorly late game so the only build that is working currently is mcginnus gun build. I would to throw in my suggestions on how to make her more viable.
1. McGinnis's HP scales with her spirit. Many Characters in Deadlock have a stat that scales with spirit. I think giving HP spirit scaling to mcginnus would give a acual reason to invest into spirit with McGinnus and make her scale abit better late game
2. Medical Specter grants and addtional 1s of healling and buffs are leaving the radius. With the map being as big as it is, you need to be constantly on the move and have to stand in a small radius to get the healing can very easily be a death sentence or at least a waste of time.
3. Turrets have 50% spirit resist and +25 base health. Turrents want to be grouped up so they can get buffed from the medical specter or heroic aura but one aoe spirit attack instant destroys all the set up in an instant.
3a. Alternatively Turrents HP scales with both your boons and spirit and increase the spirit scaling of the dps from 0.4 to 0.45
4. McGinnus wall is shaped like a "U", with the wide lanes you can no longer block of objectives or stop escapes. Simply by changing the shape of the wall I beileve it will find much more success
5. A new teir 4 Vitality item that besides leech th is ment for spirit builds; my idea is an item called "Barrier Canneller" that gives you 10 spirit & gun armor with a max of 500 each for every tick of spirit dmg that decays over 5 second; with +175 HP, +15% ammo, and 1 m/s Sprint Speed
5a. The item with help builds that don't focus on burst dmg or gun dmg
Those are my ideas at least, I would love to hear some feedback of what others think. I would love to see more than just one "viable" build per charater like Calico who has 3 distinct types of build that are all viable. I don't know if a dev would ever read this post and be inspired, I know they are hard at work. I love to see where this game goes in the future
