Matchmaking seems to be worse when trying new characters

Hopefully this helps narrow down the problems with matchmaking -- it's a bit anecdotal, but the trend I've noticed is that matchmaking is far worse when I play characters on which I have less experience. Maybe it doesn't know where to put me, but it needs to pick just one skill level instead of throwing all kinds of skill levels in the match together, which kind of prevents me from learning anything in a realistic match

Can confirm, was gonna write up a post about it. Currently playing apollo and despite performing pretty good in every match I can't win a single match because half my team is *brand new players*. It seems to consider that I must be a brand new player because I picked a character I only have 5 matches on so far, and so it puts brand new players on my team, even though I'm in a rank where *no one should be brand new*.
