MacHeath revision 2 (updated Mack the Knife)

Last year I posted a concept for a shark-man hero based on the Mack the Knife from the Three Penny Opera and the Song by Bobby Darin, you can find that original thread here.

At time of posting I'm noticing some other similar ideas of a "debt collector/wallstreet" character being discussed so I suppose this is my crack at that. Over the last week I've been reworking this old character concept into something much more different so I figured I might as well start with a new thread.

I wanted to take him in a less "drifter type" direction, so instead leaned more into a "coked up wall street stock guy" look, less Jack the Ripper and more American Psycho, on top of that I feel like it ties him much better to the source material (fancy gloves, spends like a sailor) A stock broker who stalks the streets at night looking to satiate his thirst for blood and money. Despite his ruthless and cutthroat nature in both combat and business he's got that 80's "nice guy" facade and always has something to pitch to everyone, so long as there is money to be made.macheath krill.png

Along with this new character direction comes a new set of abilities, also with more of a focus on playing with money.

Weapon - Still throwing darts, styled after shark teeth.

1 - Bite
Basic ablity
MacHeath bites down, dealing a burst of spirit damage (could alternatively be melee damage) and inflicting a short bleed that only ticks down while the affected target moves (miniature blood seeker rupture) This is your basic up close fighting spell.

2 - Scarlet Billows
Area of Effect
MacHeath emits a misty cloud of blood around him that passively burns any enemies it makes contact with.
ALTERNATIVE
MacHeath emits streams of blood that latch to nearby targets, steadily leeching their health.
This is designed to encourage enemies to move away from MacHeath so he can get more out of the bleed from Bite.

3 - Compound Interest
Passive with Active component
MacHeath earns an additional small sum of souls when he secures a soul orb, each consecutive soul orb adds a stack, increasing the bonus sum for a maximum of half the value of a secured orb. (example: If an orb is worth 50 souls, MacHeath earns an additional 25 bonus souls for a total of 75) This bonus will begin to decay after 15 seconds. Activating this ability will consume all stacks and heal MacHeath for the total percentage value relative to his max health. (example: if MacHeath's stacks were at 30%, activating this would heal him for 30% of his max health) Cannot gain stacks while on cooldown.
This is essentially Alchemist's Greevils Greed turned into a heal that gives MacHeath additional sustain.
ADDITIONAL IDEA
If MacHeath has max stacks he can consume them while stunned to instantly recover from it. This could allow him to be a much more aggressive melee brawler by recovering from parries. Not sure how strong this would actually be in practice.

4 - Predatory Loan
Single Target
MacHeath spends 400 souls to inflict 400 damage + 10% of the target's maximum health and marks them, revealing their position to teammates for its duration. If the target is killed while this mark is active, all kill participants are awarded 10% extra souls and MacHeath is awarded an additional 30%. If the mark expires MacHeath is refunded 50% of the spent souls.
This is a more aggressive form of Bounty Hunter's track, with its percentage damage and bounty bonus encouraging players to target tanky or high value targets. I'm not sure how using a player's souls as a resource would work in practice but I suppose this is in character for MacHeath, you gotta spend money to earn money.

MacHeath is designed to act as a farm accelerant for his team, while his fighting spells and weapon are a little meagre, he can supplement them quickly by purchasing more powerful items at a faster tempo and hitting power spikes earlier. His early damage is reigned in to prevent him from snowballing too quickly. He wants to move around the map and encourage teammates to participate in fights and get pick offs in order to earn more souls and accelerate their networth too. The risk reward aspect of his ultimate is also a potential drain on his earned souls to help reign in his snowball potential.

Let me know what you think.
