Leaver penalty for crashing while loading into match

As the title says, the game bans me for crashing while attempting to connect into a match, there is a fatal error detecting a corrupted file, while crashing to desktop, and the file validation gets stuck at 0%, prompting me to not be able to rejoin the match in time and get the leaver penalty.

I understand the system in place to avoid toxicity and ragequitters/griefers, but is there something that can be done for honest players that just want to play but the game unstability penalizes them?

i am experiencing something similar. I had bad lag and just got banned for 24 hours from trying to hop back in a few times. I know i frustrated my team but I don't think I should be banned for all of tomorrow. Pls help @Valve my user is zeldasbbl

Update: It seems some bans were rollbacked today, after playing 3 matches, I loaded into the 4th match and got the map file corrupted again, crashed to desktop, unable to verify files for a while because it gets stuck at 0% and then got hit with 24h matchmaking ban and low prio queue

Same exact thing has been happening to me constantly gets stuck at 0% and I cant rejoin in time. I don't know what to do.
