Key Player award made no sense

Not sure if calling this a bug is quite accurate but it doesn't fit into any of the other feedback categories. In the above match there was a clear match MVP and they were awarded correctly, perfect. However the "key player" that was picked for the winning team didn't really make sense.
As you can see in the attached screenshot, the key player (Abrams) was not a top contributor in any of the listed categories (souls, damage, kills, healing, etc.). Notably, he had fewer kills and less player damage than our Haze, who WAS a top contributor in those two categories. Abrams did beat Haze in Assists, Objective Dmg, and Healing, so I could see an argument that Abrams was more impactful on some levels, but given that his Objective Dmg was not even the second highest on the team (after our MVP), and that his Player Dmg was significantly lower that Hazes's despite having more Kills + Assists than her, I find that argument to be flimsy.
Ultimately, this is not exactly a game-breaking issue, and in this current early access state, MVPs and Key Player awards are pretty much just a post match ego boost (although I do wonder if they play a significant role in how fast you can increase your rank). However, it is frustrating to see someone be awarded recognition that seems undeserved by most metrics. Given this is not the first time i've been left scratching my head about the algorithms choice on this front, I thought I would make a post
