Both of these items allow you to free up an active slot by making the active conditionally trigger.
Spiritual Automata: If Pocket buys Curse and combines it with Enchanters Cloak. The first player to take damage from Cloak will get cursed and Curse will go on cooldown. Other enemies wont get cursed, since Curse is single target only.
However if Pocket imbues Silence Wave, the item will go on cooldown whether it hits anyone, but every hero hit by Cloak will get silenced. This effect applies only once per hero per ability cast.

Casters Gauntlet: Similar but works with melee instead. Maybe the active should be canceled, if the melee is parried?

Both of these items have the potential to vary between broken and useless, which I like.
