Is Graves grasping hands supposed to be able to stun Seven when he is in the air during his ultimate ability?

I had a funny interacting the other day with Seven. I used my ultimate while in a team fight, and while I was in the air a Graves put their grasping hands down beneath me. It literally pulled me out of the air and grounded me. Is this on purpose or a bug?
