Insta banned for reporting a guy with a slur in the name (Edit: Ban ended)

I got banned for reporting people that in my opinion completely deserved it.

Just as an example, I am going to tell the reasons I reported in last 10 games.

Match 23135379: Our Wraith had a literal slur in the name, I dont know how much better of a reason I need to report her.

Match 22956273: Lash was basically from the start shit talking our Shiv on voice chat, went on to shit talk the whole team (I told him to shut the fuck up in voice chat after he wouldnt stop insulting our Shiv).

Match 22765719: Game performed really badly (for some reason after the recent patch, I have had frame drops and sometimes unplayable amount of lags and stuff). I started to get shit on by 5 people, maybe even more, I dont know. I reported them (I accidentally reported Viscious instead of Warden, but I doubt one bad report can get me banned).

I went through and looked at some games. Many of them had slurs in the names, some of them were toxic (trash talking) and I didnt even report them, I would have been banned earlier if I did. I am not saying all my reports are right, I remember a month ago I got pissed off and reported my team. It is just weird to get banned over reporting in a Valve game. If you have played CS, Dota and TF2, you know how disgustingly toxic people can get and how big portion of them are generally assholes. I have literally seen CP in Tf2, these games will be full of toxicity and if you want it to be as free from it as possible, getting banned for reporting will only avert people from doing it and will just increase cheaters and toxicity.

I am not sure this is the right place to write this, but I couldnt find any other place.

I think the game doesn't register languages other than English, so it doesn't understand when someone has a slur in the name or is saying some bad stuff for example in Russian.

Sounds like you are a report happy individual.... part of the problem.

I think you ignored the "I went through and looked at some games. Many of them had slurs in the names, some of them were toxic (trash talking) and I didnt even report them" part. I actually reported less people than deserved.

i had a spree of 5 games in the early AM hours (note never play saturday mornings) where:
1st and 3rd game had 2x hacker in lane (same vindicta and lash, reported them in disc and steam also)
2nd and 5th had leavers within 10 mins, and not DC but rage after losing lane.
4th game was ok but 300 neko (lol) below mine and was a stomp, so i reported a matchmaking issue (1 enemy had N/A neko and no played time on steam).

Thats 2x2 report for the hackers, 1x2 for the leavers and 1x1 for matchmaking, 7 reports in 5 games, and i didnt receive any issues.

TBH i probably end up reporting once every 2-3 games normally matchmaking or hatespeech, isnt that the point of early access?

Just checked the vindicta 24/1 in 13 mins and 14/1 in 11 mins (but its not that why i reported. the replay shows her shooting 1 mo and krill distance away with crosshair, then somehow bullets track ur brain) has still only 27 hours on steam (same as when i reported, lvl 2 steam, 1 friend was the hacker bro no others) the lash page is private (steam lvl 3) but had prior vac ban 377 days ago. I dont think VAC banned players should be allowed to play. but seems atleast the vindicta been banned or quit etc.

OP, maybe you should harden up a bit and realize that shit-talking is part of life. Save reporting for if they cross the line and start getting really personal, etc. Insults and cursing is just part of the fun, especially if they GG you when they lose at the end.
Having some arbitrary line about being rude to others is weird. Someone could get mad for being called dumb, because in his childhood his mother used to call him dumb and that triggers him, another guy couldn't care less if you wish death upon his mother, because he hates her.

What a wild thing to say about being insulted. "Harden up", by that logic masochists are the hardest people in the world. There is nothing "hard" about being called "N-word F-word (slur for homosexuals)"

Another thing is how you completely ignored the part where I mentioned I didn't report everyone who had slurs in the names or were toxic.

Go outside and "shit talk" someone, when you get clocked in the mouth, tell him it is just a part of life, let's see if that helps.

Consider this... Lash literally has a line in game saying something about "kicking ass" so its kinda oxymoronic to get bent over words. Words are only as powerful as you let them be.

Have you never played pick-up basketball in your entire life? Ever been to an arcade where you play against people in person? There is mad talking going on. Nobody gets upset-- you just play and let that do the talking. Trash talk is fun and some of the best laughs I've had in the game have come from the back-and-forth with others.

This shouldn't be in the bug report section, but definitely isn't right that you got banned. Good luck with getting this resolved.

I have. I played basketball a lot in my childhood, never did once I get called an n-word or any slur while playing it. Never did anyone just go "my team is sht, I am going to actively get in the way of my team", told everyone to get cancer or anything else. Where do you guys play? In the "Evil Sinister Basketball Team" or what?

See, the 2nd part is crossing the line. That's griefing. You must have grown up in a nice heartland community cuz if you've never heard the n-word on the basketball court, that's hilarious.

Anyway, getting OT, but I hope your issue gets resolved bro. Griefers are the worst.

Don't live in an English country, so can't really hear that.

I don't know man, the place I live in is pretty cold (the people I mean), but even they have basic respect (usually fear) to not just insult random people, even if you are joking. Between friends, it is understandable, between strangers it's not. If you don't agree with me, so be it, ain't end of the world.

The Ban ended, so this is kind of pointless at this point.

Good luck and goodbye.
