Inconsistency in many abilities upgrade effects being applied during ability usage

I noticed that there are a lot of abilities that are able to gain their upgraded effect and some that don't if you upgrade your ability in the middle of using it. I did confirm that there is differences between what type of upgrade actually does or doesn't apply mid ability usage, with damaging upgrades almost universally applying mid ability or debuff usage, however durations and ability bonuses seem to differ between all characters and abilities, with them either applying immediately, only visually, not applying at all, or applying but without visual changes.

Some ones I noticed through testing I will list below, some of which contradict other characters abilities or sometimes their own. I'm unsure as to exactly which vision the developers would like to take this, in that will you decide to normalize all abilitiy upgrades to affect them instantly even during the ability, or to never apply the effects until the next instance of ability usage, or keep it how it is where there are many contradictions between abilities and characters.

Abrams Siphon Life LVL2 duration upgrade DOES NOT apply if upgraded while Siphon Life is active.

Vindictas Flight LVL2 duration upgrade DOES apply if upgraded while Flight is active.

Geists Life Drain LVL2 duration upgrade DOES apply, EXCEPT it is only visually as the actual drain duration remains the same.

Dynamos Singularities LVL1 and LVL2 radius and duration upgrade DOES apply, EXCEPT the increased radius effect is not visually shown with blackhole, and the duration increase does not apply to the actual stun effect or visually, however it does increase the length at which Dynamo is stuck in his ultimate.

Mo and Krill Burrow LVL1 duration upgrade DOES apply if upgraded during ability usage.
Mo and Krill Combo LVL2 duration upgrade DOES apply, EXCEPT similar to Dynamo only locks out Mo and Krill out for longer than the duration while the enemy is no longer stunned. Also has a strange delayed hit at the end of the ability.

Hollidays Bouncepad LVL2 movespeed upgrade DOES apply to previously thrown launchapds or when upgraded mid launchpad jump.
Hollidays Spirit Lasso LVL2 duration upgrade DOES NOT apply if upgraded during capture, EXCEPT it does apply if upgraded mid windup animation.

Infernus Afterburn LVL1 and LVL2 spirit effect and duration effect DOES NOT apply if upgraded mid burn, EXCEPT Infernus' Afterburn LVL3 damage upgrade DOES apply if upgraded mid burn.
Infernus' Flame Dash LVL1 fire rate debuff DOES apply if upgraded during the ability.
Infernus' Consussive Combustion LVL2 radius effect DOES apply if upgraded mid ability usage, EXCEPT the increased radius is not visually shown except for the explosion ring effect.

Kelvins Arctic Beam LVL3 additional beam affect DOES apply if upgraded during the ability, EXCEPT the beams are invisible and Kelvin still visually appears to fire a single beam.
Kelvins Ice Path LVL3 additional spirit per meter DOES apply if upgraded during the ability, EXCEPT it is retroactive in that the spirit gained is applied for all meters already travelled before the upgrade so you can jump from 0 spirit gained to 55 instantly.

McGinnis' MiniTurret LVL1 movement slow debuff DOES apply if upgraded during a turrets lifetime, EXCEPT the LVL2 firerate buff DOES NOT apply if upgraded during a turrets lifetime, aswell as the LVL3 DPS and Duration buff.

Paradox' Pulse Grenade LVL3 radius size upgrade DOES apply if upgraded during the timebombs lifetime ,EXCEPT it is retroactive in that the radius will immediately expand to the largest size based on the total number of pulses throughout the bombs total lifespan, and not the number of pulses after the upgrade was applied.

Sinclair's Spectral Assistant LVL2 duration upgrade DOES apply if upgraded during the ability, EXCEPT it is only visually as the actual duration does not change.

Wardens Last Stand LVL1 radius upgrade DOES apply if upgraded during the ability, EXCEPT it is not visually shown as the cone remains the same but the damaging effect is increased.


There are definitely many more strange instances of ability upgrades mid ability usage that exist in other characters, but because its so inconsistent I don't know exactly which direction is the correct one so I'll leave it here. There were a few bugs I noticed especially with Dynamo and Mo&Krill ultimate and Kelvins Ice Beam that should probably be looked into.
