It seems that switching characters while using certain abilities that only the user can see the visual effects of, causes the lighting/visual effects to become "stuck". This can be reset on abilities like Lash's Death Slam/Kelvin's Arctic Beam by dying. However, on abilities like Mirage's Djinn's Mark "reapplication indicator", the icon is stuck until the user restarts their game and refreshes the instance, regardless if the Mirage or the Djinn's mark recipient are killed.
This is not an issue on any effects that can be seen globally, such as negative status effect bubbles (e.g. Infernus Afterburn, Vyper Lethal Venom, Haze Fixation, etc.), or effects such as Mina's Love Bites proc. Also while effects like Lady Geist's Life Drain produce a similar lighting effect to Kelvin's Arctic Beam/Lash's Death Slam, the effect does not persist on character swap because the lighting effect is only during preparation of the ability, unlike Arctic Beam which has the lighting effect active until the ability ends.
This is obviously unlikely to happen in an actual game currently unless there's some way to trigger the same effect without swapping characters that I don't know of. But if a future update adds a new game-mode (e.g. ARAM) that has players switching characters mid-match, then it could be a common issue.
