In the sandbox, when you use Lash's ultimate to lift a target into the air and then switch heroes, the target Lash lifted remains in the air.

Likely not a bug, but an implementation of how the ultimate works. It puts you in a stun, and if the target is not moving, then time out. It seems to have a grace period at the start, in case there was something obstructing it, for whatever reason.

Seems quite fair, likely built in that way in case lash gets killed. I believe when lash gets killed the stunning stops? Don't quote me on that lol

No, when Lash dies, the targets remain behind. They don’t stay in the air.
Interesting, as if the grace period stops. Almost as if it antipicates in case there was a time slow (paradox) or blocking/shifting geometry.

Grace period gets removed if the Lash dies, which, makes sense.
