If I Alt-Tab while Deadlock is initially loading the game never loads

Thanks for the great game!

When loading a game (not just Deadlock) I will often alt-tab to read something while the game loads in the background. If I do that while Deadlock is in some loading initialization state I won't be able to alt-tab back to the game and it effectively hangs (at least it shows up as Not Responding in Task Manager.)

When in this state I'm unable to kill the game by right-clicking on it and choosing 'Close Window' and have to go to Task Manager to kill it. Or use the Steam Stop button.

If I wait for the intro 'street dropping' cinematic to load then I can alt-tab safely. Though by then the game is loaded. ><

I'm on Windows 10 Pro version 10.0.19045 Build 19045

I've had this problem before but not always, it also happens in CS2. Try using windowed fullscreen

With some experimentation I found that this does indeed work. I've also found that using Native Resolution for my monitor works, and that's what I want anyways. Thanks for the recommendation.

I was using

+citadel_unit_status_use_new true

but experimenting with that showed it didn't have an effect on the game crashing on alt-tab. Thanks for inquiring, though.
