HUGE GAME CHANGES! WHAT IF??? (Dont know where to drop it , just wanna know fans opinion)

This size of map now is perfect for my idea to replace Rejuv with Rune. There are lots of places where you can fight while you bring rune in the centre. Its gonna be so much fun ! Why they so obsessed with this mid boss...........
 
I just dont understand the size change of this map without other changes..... Walkers still can be killed by one person and now its even harder to protect them.... no1 cares about runes because its so far to bring them ( or mby i missed something). This Rejuv Boss now totaly fcking underground in totaly closed building...... And there is so much jungle farm........... This devs got their own unic vision..........
 
Honestly having played a few games I really really do not like this. I feel like it's made me better at map design as a principle though because now i can identify what was better about the previous map so... that's a win?
 
Nah , for me its not a win.... Lets talk about MID BOSS PLACE..... As i see some heroes like Vindicta, Talon, Ivy or some solo target heroes just cant play there , they just got not so big potencial as heroes with BIG AOE ULTS. But if you replace it with my version of urna , that you need to bring frome one corner of the map to the centre , then you got full potenial of all heroes, because you can start fight in any place you want to! It just gives you more variations of tactics! And more creativity of heroes that you want to add to this game, you can even add hero with mass invis so you can do some ambushes. All this building , all this roofs you can use in teamfight for urna, its gonna be so fun...
 
Still at work so haven't gotten to play any matches yet.

I think I'd need at least 15-20 matches on the new map before I could even give initial impressions. I'm only at like, 480 matches on the old map and I did like the old map, but it could definitely feel congested at times (even for me and I'm only mid at my zipline rollouts.)

Based on the videos I've seen though, the mid lane looks weirdly wide open compared to the old mid lanes (like, massive open spaces). This isn't necessarily a bad thing, but it sure as hell gives the advantage to anyone who already has an advantage or who has long range abilities. Heroes that rely on close confines would be screwed by being in Mid.

Idk, again I'll have to take a look at it but my initial impression is that it is overall a healthier map design than the old one, even if it is different.
 
I'll Stream me opening up the Map exploration mode tonight before I actually play. Name's the same on Twitch as it is here.

My focus is going to be on looking for new Jungle/Box routes and trying to figure out new Zipline Rollouts since that seems like it will be essential for rotating between mid and side lanes. If I have to guess, you'll probably have to backtrack somewhere around halfway to base for good Zipline Rollouts. That or find spots to beeline to the new launch pads.
I actually got to spend a lil time in exploration. So many changes. More than I expected. I noticed that you can get across the map very fast, with no items, using the new underground tunnels. Lots of free sliding you can do.

I couldnt figure out what the green floaty things were. Im assuming you punch them but at work i got a basic Microsoft mouse and not about to change my keybinds just to test it now instead of tomorrow or friday night.

they technically didnt move mid boss, but the new structures make it seem like it will be harder to get in there and steal but will have to wait and see.

And there are so many new jungle camps. I predict we will fall into a meta where you 2v2 for first 5 or so mins then a couple people break off and roam, get camps, and gank.

Im not sure I like how they did mid lane zipline either.

Do you mean the rejuv like things? They are a midboss indicator. The tell you if a boss is alive, going to respawn in 1minute or dead.

Also it will be harder to steal since there is a big wide opening where the rejuv falls, so the enemy has more time to react to you.

LANES

As a fan of this game i asked myself "what i realy like about it?" and the answer was "teamfights". Its realy fun to jump around, doing some crazy staff, killing everyone or dying = )) (but for spectators its sometimes hard to understand whats happening but we gonna talk about it in the end) What is not fun for me is laning, expecialy 1x1 lane, its so borring and as spectator you can fall a sleep sometimes , only some gangs can wake you up... But do we realy need this 1x1 lane ?? Why not just do 3 2x2 lanes??? And why not just speed it up this lane phase and give a little bit more souls for every mob!

TEAMFIGHTS


As we know the most important fight in this game is for Rejuvenator, usualy who won it - wins the game.... But do we realy need this "roshan" boss in this game?? Why not just replaced it with Urna? yeah with this "not so important part of game".
First Urna (green circle) will uppear after you kill 3 first towers on the side of those who kill them first, then you need to bring it in the centre of map. Next rune will appear in 5 min after you get buff! Its gonna give you not so huge buff as Rejuvenator, kinda half or even less but it also gives you TRUE DMG TO WALKERS.

TOWERS

So whats so important about this tower dmg buff ?? I think that its not fair that one hero can kill WALKER. WALKERS must be more important in this game and they should have 70% resist to gun and spirit dmg BUT you can ignore it with urn buff! I realy think there should be more teamfights for this towers!


SPECTATOR MODE

I realy wish that they add dota 2 view in this game but with this kinda staff so you can see through building! Its realy annoying that you cant see anything in teamfight because of buldings. So imagine that you can see everything from the top and you can click like in dota some hero and then choose 3rd person view if you need it.

So thats all i got in my mind for now. Hope you guys got some ideas too
i actually cant stand this update. All it did was give people the opportunity to gank with 2 people instead of 1. Unfortunately without a ranked mode all this does is allow better players to shove lanes with 4 people because no one comms whatsoever.

This sounds like a good thing to me. I hope it promotes a more aggressive counter in the form of engaging team fight mid boss kill rather than letting a team kill it and just trying to cc and steal.

This was already happening.

All of the complaints ive seen about people not liking the map have just been anecdotal whining about things that already happened on the other map to begin with.

Objective feedback is what is needed. They may very well revert to 4 lanes but people just whining because they cant handle change is all thats happening right now.

One VERY good thing from this update - before i used to have ping problems pretty often, game would randomly go to 500-3000 ping. After the update my ping is VERY stable and i didn`t encounter any problems.

So i you're shooting the opponent they're going to be watching you generally speaking. Plus you don't have to shoot the creeps but you can. That means that you can choose when the orb comes out with a lot of freedom (which they have to react to).

this is what I need more people doing. I was already setting up freezes and only last hitting minions but most people just shove over and over to fight and that isnt always optimal.

Im not sure how i feel about the 50/50 changes but the other changes to orb spawning sounds good.

however, I am not sure how i feel about them changing local orb spawning not requiring someone to last hit the minion. Minions spawning orbs no matter what feels.....idk, casual lol.

What I can say is that most of the changes I saw as far as how the game plays seem to be geared towards normalizing this game to be more familiar and potentially draw more players. Since we never got any actual reason why they decided to make the change, that is my assumption as I am sure they want a pro-moba scene and this technically competes with Smite 2 where it has very similar fights.
 
From the start this game was hard for casual players.... This lane stage with last hitting orbs wasnt best idea.... Even ping difference can lose you lane especially if you play 1x1 and im not talking about playing vs some smurf = ))) Anyway lane ends when you lose tower (same as dota) and you go jungle , but now you got lots of new camps and you can farm there till the end of the game (again dota). Sometimes you go out of jungl and try to kill 2nd tower solo or fight for it with your team (dota). And once in 20-30 min you fight for Rejuv or Roshan , same dota shit anyway...
SO WHAT MAKES THIS GAME UNIC??
1. Item building , different styles
2. Fast teamfight action
3. the whole City (you can fight wherever you want to - roof , underground , buildings)
4. Heroes (hmmmmmm kinda 40% of them)

So the MAIN QUESTION is how to refresh this DOTA IDEAS AND PERFECTLY COMBINE WITH DEADLOCK ideas

i dont know all the answers yet but FFS delete this braindead REJUV BOSS FROM THE GAME and replace it with something more interesting, something that perfectly suits this game style...

The middle of the map is so massive that I can go minutes without seeing another player.

Midboss is a chore to get to.

Bridge buffs now stay on the map for minutes because its a chore to get to them.

The two best things about this game were the characters and the map. The characters and their ability worked well with the old map design.

The new map isnt chaotic enough (one less lane) yet its so big that it gets boring in a 6v6 format.

Please bring back the old map and use some of these ideas toward a new map.

I think this is valid. not having played a match yet and only doing the exploring map, it felt really large, with too many jungle camps, and a ton of under ground routes that were labyrinthine.

When i first saw the bridge buffs my innitial thought was literaly "How the f do I get up there" I found it, but I can see it being too much of a chour.

I also dotn like mid boss. period. Dont matter where its placed.

One of my Compromise suggestions was 4 lanes to start that funnels down to 3 walkers then into the base. With how much space is in mid, I feel like this could still be a thing. Mid lane gets split into 2 starting lanes.
