Holliday [crackshot] balance

On 11/03/2026 the #holliday discord channel came to a consensus that Holliday is underpowered in the current meta, many have presented their suggestions. Here's the most popular one; Her crackshot would slow the gamespeed of her nearby enemies and and allies, allowing her to be a remarkably good shot for a brief moment. Holliday would remain unaffected by the slow. The idea in itself came from how the game is slowed down for some time after every round of street brawl. Some believe this would allow Holliday's gun to be used more, this echoes the fact that her base DPS is poor at the moment.

Instead what they should do to Crackshot / Holiday is make her gun feel better to use. I don't know what it is about holiday, maybe the hitbox of her bullets, but her gun feels worse to use than any other character in this game, with maybe the exception of Yamato. This sucks because Crackshot is a fun ability. I think they need to change something about her weapon, maybe make it feel more like a Colt Python Revolver with some kick to it, and then make it so Crackshot doesn't proc on minions (or at least make it so if it does, it's cooldown is reduced by like 80%).

I don't think your conclusion would be all that good for the character, nor would it be easy to implement. I'm fairly certain that game speed is a universal value and not something that can be tweaked on a per player basis without some major problems happening.

Movespeed slow applied this same way would serve the same purpose. Currently crackshot is very weak and this could allow her to use more of her arsenal. Getting a full drum of shots off is fitting for the character, and this is reflected by RDR2's legendary deadeye, and movies like Butch Cassidy and the sundance kid.

I agree with you that her gun build needs some changes, I just think that it might become frustrating to fight against if she can hit everyone in a radius with it. Maybe the idea could work if it was one person she could focus though, or maybe two with an ability upgrade.

Isn't Holliday more than a year old...? Hardly new.
