Deadlock doesn't have a summoner character, so I made one! Meet Highness, a supportive hero who leads others into battle. I'm not a balance sort of person, so I focused on the concept of each ability while leaving most of the numbers up to your imagination.

ABILITY OVERVIEW:

Highness is designed around commanding and assisting others in the fight. Highness's first ability, Summon Trooper, can be used to summon Candle Constructs (Troopers) to either aid your allies, or fight your enemies. If your enemies are running at the first sight of your candle army, inflict them with your second ability, Will-o'-the-Wisps, and follow the flames they leave behind. If the enemy isn't running, Will-o'-the-Wisps will start burning them, and then they'll HAVE to start running. Are your allies bleeding too much for your liking? Your third ability, Healing Hearth, has you covered. Stay close to your allies for them to receive passive healing thanks to the soothing warmth of the giant candle that is your head. And, if that's not enough to keep your favorite teammate alive, resurrect them temporarily with your fourth ability, Wax Effigy. With Wax Effigy, your teammate will have enough time to win the fight, and enough time to say they love you before passing away again.

BACKSTORY:

Candle Constructs (what we know as troopers) are made with souls, yet possess no free will of their own. They are usually created for menial labor, and expire shortly after their task is done. One day, an ambitious candlemaker from New York City got the idea that they could make a better Candle Construct. They dreamed of a Candle Construct that could solve complex problems, one that could speak, and most of all, one that wouldn't die when their job was complete. The candlemaker stole an old family urn, locked themself in their workshop, and created an entirely unique vessel. They rewrote the Candle Construct incantation hundreds of times to bring the vessel to life, and yet their creation never moved. The candlemaker drove themselves to exhaustion trying to make their vessel work. In their exhaustion, they read their latest incantation formula wrong, and the vessel took the candlemaker's soul. The vessel finally moved.

The vessel, being given no order, watched the other Candle Constructs in the workshop proceed with their work. But it wasn't long until the Candle Constructs finished the tasks they had been given by the deceased candlemaker. One by one, their flames went out, and the vessel was left alone. Seeing injustice in this existence, the vessel swore to lead the Candle Constructs to freedom, and took on the name "Highness." Highness would not rest until every Candle Construct was free from orders and could live beyond the limit of their wick. They eventually learned of the Patrons, and knew the ritual was the only way to help their people. Though they knew it was dangerous, Highness was ready to risk their unique existence for all Candle Constructs. But what Highness wasn't ready for, was to slaughter their own kind for the ritual.

Hope you love my little candle guy!
