Alright I'm back! The hero name is
Park, a subway worker that had an encounter with the paranormal while on the job. It either: turned him into something possessed or The Company™ "repaired" him, turning him effectively into a cyborg, whatever suits the world of Deadlock best. I'm sure the writing team can come up with something better, I'm not that attached to it!
Since I can't draw and don't want to use AI all I've got is a lil' image. The idea is basically a 50's railroad worker, overalls and a flatcap, a Spike Maul on his back (to use his third ability / melee), more flavor added if he's possessed or a cyborg but that's beyond my artistic abilities!
The stats on the abilities are kinda shot from the hip, tier 3 railspike could be way too strong for example, but I figured it was better than nothing. Most of the AP upgrades are kinda basic but I like some of the tier 3 ones.
His gun I'm unsure of, it doesn't feel great to put a gun on ye olde worker but maybe a welder of some sort, similar to bebop's gun or something that fits whatever lore he ends up with.
His first ability could be a spring that's charged up by moving or spectral energies charged similarly, the name could be improved. I wanted something that synergized with his second ability, riding the zipline would charge up the first ability.
His second ability would be the aforementioned
hyper zipline, it would work the same as a regular zipline but with a shorter distance and a safety timer of like half a second, after that taking damage would make you fall off but not get "hyperlined" as it were. Maybe it should require channeling for a second to set it up? Depends on how (un)balanced it is.
The third ability Railspike hammers nearby enemies into the ground with a spike, immobilizing them for a duration. Maybe the first ability should go off a bit after you click it to make it feel more synergistic with the spike? I dunno.
The ultimate is admittedly a bit uninspired, it's a Torment Pulse on steroids or a Death Prophet from dota ultimate, maybe it could charge up from nearby enemies/heroes dying too?
