[Hero] Spirit of the Tome, (Abrams Tome), my most flavorful character yet!

Most the individual damage will come from weapon damage but most his strength will come from building spirit.

His gun works in a unique way. He shoots 3 bullets per second, but if he hits someone within range (20m) then a beam attached to them that deals the other 3 bullets per second, and is attached for 2 seconds. It is attached to whoever he has shot last. It's a compromise of aiming and not aiming.

He has a game within the game element, which I'm a big fan of, and has the unsecured souls interaction that I finally came up with a good version of, though many people have tried to come up with an unsecured souls interaction in the past.

Like I said this is my most flavorful hero, his abilities all have so much personality to them.

I also think Vulnerable should become a keyword used in multiple places like other heroes or items.

Spirit: I'll bind you with harsher chains than these if you don't let me out, insect!
Abrams: Gotta get rid of this thing!

Doorman: I can see you.
Spirit: The most important step towards good service.
Doorman: Indeed!

Haze: I know you're here. Don't even try to get inside my mind.
Spirit: Oh I wouldn't dream of it. Are you going to try and get inside mine, sandman?
Haze: I'll pass.

Spirit: The Tome is within your reach, the detective is weak!
Seven: I won't be taking advice from an already bound spirit.
Spirit: Are you not bound? Is that not why you're here?
Seven:... I suppose so. To breaking our bonds then.

Drifter: Hmm, that shadow isn't from me.
Spirit: How perceptive of you, I'd expect nothing less from the drifter.
Drifter: I take it you're a fan?
Spirit: Oh, the biggest.
 
This character sounds weak and annoying as is. I don't like the 3 ability since it just doesn't do much. Flying up and launching a set of explosive projectiles is cool. The one ability seems okay and would be stronger when more supports are in the game. Ult seems annoying with little counterplay. I think if this character was more streamlined into long range poke with isolation that would be cooler

The 3 ability actually probably does the most out of any non-ultimate ability in the game. It's:
1. A way to become ethereal for 3 seconds at minimum and more if you take control of an enemy. That's a powerful dodge mechanic.
2. A way to do good damage as part of a minigame/guessing game you play with the opponent. It synergizes with vulnerability to do even more damage and would be increased by the damage amp of the 1 for even greater damage.
3. Can take control of an enemy and turn them against thier team briefly. Actually it probably needs a damage and duration nerf imbedded in that to make it not too strong.

If by weak you mean he doesn't do much damage, he may not do as much damage as say, Warden, but I wouldn't call him weak. By building spirit he enables his gun to be more powerful and has abilities that all support that. The 1 and 2 but have support capacity as well.
The Ult does not have counterplay, that's right, but it's balanced by the fact that his main damage source is his gun being amped by his abilities. casting abilities but not being able to use his gun and run people down means that he is playing a global support capacity in his ulted state. he also returns to his original position if you're worried about killing him.

I strongly disagree about being geared towards "poke isolation". These are commonly used features of the game already and have significantly less flavor than the wicked vibe the abilities currently have.

Edit: I will be nerfing the 3 to have them not benefit from items while being controlled.
