Hero - RENEGADE

haha, nah I mean, any feeback is useful. I might just not agree with most of it. I do think the "going under ground" part might be too strong like you said though.

Deciding that the tech for having moving npc's would not have uses outside of Renegade's ult in the future seems very close minded. It could have all kinds of use cases. And making it so only a select few players see them should be very easy, practically / technically speaking
I don't think going underground would be unbalanced as long as there is a duration (preferably on the longer side) and you can see where Renegade is hiding. Maybe add a manhole cover on the ground where she hid that is decently visible. A light sound effect of the lid closing would also be nice.

I don't think moving NPCs would be the hard part but forcing only one person to see the NPC as well as making them invulnerable to all damage other than "selected hero". I think making it where other people can do damage to them but can't see them would be GREATLY easier. That would also have interesting design work in the future. Also allows for times where people scream in game chat to please throw AOE damage on the ground to save them from imaginary snakes and I find that would make for enjoyable game play experiences. Honestly a huge fan of this character as a whole.

Her hat could be left on the ground where she sunk down maybe. I like that.

And yeah. I don't think any of this would be too hard to implement honestly

lore, art, presentation and theme is 10/10 here. I really enjoyed reading this and if a gunslinger hero will be added to the game, I hope they take inspiration from here.

Kit could be improved tho, I find ability 1 to be really cool but 2,3, and 4 kinda meh. Mainly, I think you are playing a lot into the snake theme but not much into a gunslinger theme. I feel like this should be a gun hero! To get into more detail, 2 and 3 seem way too similar in use; both are tools to confuse enemies which is great but I feel like we should go down to just 1 ability that confuses enemies.

Nonetheless, I believe theme > gameplay in regards to community heroes, so great job overall!

Thanks for showing interest! When it comes to the theming, I mostly leaned in to both character's slyness and trickery, something Renegade already had even before coming in to contact with the snake (Coyote).

I felt like she didn't really need anything more than the guns themselves to enable a gunslinger playstyle and theme. Since they can be built around like any other gun in Deadlock can.

Also there's some unique mechanics with the Weeping Pinions (Renegade's gun) that let her shoot uninterrupted while using abilities. And to interrupt her reloading to start shooting again (though I think abrams is able to do this as well).
