[Hero] Laddie, a savage teen who grew up in the astral plane

General appearance: Athletic, dirty/messy teen with clothes made from animal skins. He uses a sword with a gun attached.

General lore: Some daring and greedy explorers found their way into the astral plane with the intention of taking back never before seen metals. One of the women present got pregnant sometime before the rest of them died out. She kept the expedition leader's sword to protect them as she raised Laddie until he was about four years old, then she also died there in the astral plane. Laddie took the sword and faced the threats of the astral plane alone, figuring out how to survive, and surviving on violence. Now he's found his way back, but he's relearning English fast.


Notes for gameplay:
Has an altfire that charges up. He can move while charging the altfire. It costs +3 ammo per second while charging, increased by firerate, and deals diminishing damage per bullet used. He takes a handful of ammo from the gun-sword and throws it with his offhand to do the altfire.

Bullet velocity: 500

Boons:
+40 health
+0.62 bullet damage

I misremembered the range of other abilities in the game. The range on his 2 should be reduced to 15m and +10m.

I was thinking of how to incorporate more possible boon gain into his kit as that is super interesting especially with boon scaling items.

I came up with this:
Bullet damage per boon reduced to 0.6 from 0.62
Ult base range reduced to 40m.

Ult upgrade 2 loses "Duration+1s". Gains "killing an enemy hero for the second time also grants a boon.
Ult upgrade 3. Gains "Duration +1.5s"

This would put bullet DPS at max level no kills to 103.48. With maximum boon gain from the ult it would be 122.2.

He could also gain a total of +13.2 spirit, about 19 light melee damage, and about +44 heavy melee damage from the ult boons.

For items that scale with boons, like headshot booster, he would have up to 12 more to use.

Okay the 12 maximum boon system might be a bit much that seems a little extreme. Can't know without testing it but the original 6 might be better.

Anyway here are voicelines I thought of.

Laddie "Oh boy, I haven't killed a Hobo yet!"
Drifter "Oh? Let me see that book. Hmm. You've got 'vampire' already."
Laddie "Yea, 'vampire' not 'Hobo'."
Drifter "You're a little confused kid, but you've got the spirit."

Laddie "By the end of the day I'll be able to cross 'Doorman' off the list!"
Dynamo "Not to encourage that behavior, but doormen are humans."
Laddie "Nuh uh, I asked him if he was human, and he said 'No, I'm a doorman.'"
Dynamo "But doormen are- wait, what do you mean 'no'?

Abrams "Stay back, kid. I need to bring you in eventually but not right now."
Laddie "But I don't have one of you crossed off yet!"
Abrams "I'm an Ixian, I know you've got one of those already."
Laddie "But not a BLUE Ixian!"

Abrams "That book is destroying you, kid. I know what that's like. You need to get rid of it."
Laddie "This? Oh it's just notepaper. See?"

Laddie "Hey Ivy, why don't the other gargoyles talk to me?"
Ivy "Uh, I don't think the other gargoyles are alive."
Laddie "What does that mean?"
Ivy "What does it mean to be alive?"
Laddie "Yea, what is that?"

Ivy "So does everything talk in the astral plane?"
Laddie "Oh yea, everything, all the time. It's so quiet here."
Ivy "Do you like the quiet?"
Laddie "No it's too quiet! I like talking to you, you always talk back."
Ivy "Thanks laddie! By the way, I was meaning to talk to you about, killing people less?"
Laddie "What are people?"
