Far more of a drabble than my previous submission, I have a loose concept for a character based predominantly off another noticeably missing archetype from the pulp lineup of Deadlock's cast; and one that especially feels missing considering the abundant reality of the occult in its setting ...
I have some crude ideas for Abilities drafted, but nothing too serious. I worry the focus on wave and farm manipulation might be a bit too niche and maybe even weak in lane or late game, but I think being able to upgrade farms or trap people in jungle with Castigate kinda makes up for it.

In the earliest years following the Maelstrom, it seemed as though the world as we knew it vindicated every magical organization on the planet - and, enthralled and captivated by the sudden proof of their beliefs, people flocked in droves to harness the power of the occult to satisfy their every desires - and to be taught (for a price) by those enlightened few who were most wise to its ways. Chief among these men who laid claim to the coffers and attentions of these fledgling acolytes was Rudolph von Dornheim - a self-proclaimed "adept of the mystic arts" who seduced and initiated countless fools to sacrifice their worldly possessions (and allegedly, even their lives) to satisfy his own growing lust for material glory and prestige.
And then came the OSIC, as well as the Occult Regulations Act.
Forced into hiding, the man once renowned for his capacity to lead innumerable flocks to action had been relegated to changing his name to Ralph Thornburgh - and concealing himself as little more than an unassuming school teacher at Blackmore Academy, teaching rudimentary classes in Occult Sciences. His eye, however, drifts to the events of the Ritual ... and, deep within his blackened heart, he schemes of a way to reclaim the power he once held over common men ...

- Manipulation of Creeps and Structures as weapons
- Marking and isolating targets, as well as denying resources
- Harassment and denying of farm (mainly via Castigate)
