General idea for a hero, intended to be a disruptive bruiser akin to Viscous or Mo & Krill.
Hero concept:
A Scottish engineer who found his bagpipe expertise better suited to maintaining mailrooms in the basements of the Cursed Apple than terrorising the ears of anybody nearby.
Mechanics concept:
Armed with a set of bagpipes grafted to a soul-powered pneumatic mail delivery system, builds air pressure using his third ability that can be used to empower his other abilities.
First skill(s):
Second skill(s):
Third skill(s):
Fourth skill:

Hero concept:
A Scottish engineer who found his bagpipe expertise better suited to maintaining mailrooms in the basements of the Cursed Apple than terrorising the ears of anybody nearby.
Mechanics concept:
Armed with a set of bagpipes grafted to a soul-powered pneumatic mail delivery system, builds air pressure using his third ability that can be used to empower his other abilities.
First skill(s):
Mail Shot:
Throw a bundle of mail that explodes on impact and splinters into individual letters that seek nearby enemies.
- Applies bullet resist shred
- Prioritises heroes over troopers
- Button can be held to spend a bar of air pressure to instead cast "Express Shot"
Express Shot:
Fires a canister of mail, that flies with high speed and ricochets between enemies.
- Slows enemies on hit and applies stacking spirit resist shred
- Prioritises heroes over troopers
Second skill(s):
Release pressure:
Release a burst of air forwards, pushing back other units and deflecting projectiles. If used while airborne pushes Murdoch back as well.
- Reflected projectiles can damage enemies, a la TF2's Pyro
- Strength of knockback is split between the amount of units it hits, so the more units hit, the less they'll individually be knocked back
- Button can be held to spend a bar of air pressure to instead cast "Purge"
Purge:
Release a burst of air forwards, pushing back other units and deflecting projectiles. If used while airborne pushes Murdoch back as well.
- As above but also
- Stronger knockback
- Applies brief silence and movement lock to enemies hit
- Enemies that are knocked into a wall are slowed
Third skill(s):
Blow Up:
Murdoch blows into his bagpipes, building air pressure and barrier.
- Disables use of gun while channeled
- Builds up to 3 bars of air pressure, can be cancelled early
- Barrier builds as the channel proceeds, so cancelling early would build partial barrier
- Button can be held to instead cast "Compress Air"
Compress Air:
Switches Murdoch's bagpipes to compressor mode, building air pressure and sucking in any souls and units in front of him.
- Disables use of gun while channeled
- Builds up to 3 bars of air pressure
- Longer channel than Blow Up, builds pressure slower
- Can be used to secure souls
- Pulls enemy units and applies bullet resist shred
Fourth skill:
Override Safety:
Resets all ability cooldowns, and empowers the next ability used to remove all safety constraints, consuming all air pressure on next use:
First Class Shot (first skill):
Fires a canister of mail, that flies with high speed and ricochets between enemies, applying a short stun on hit.
- As Express Shot, but with more bounces and applies a ministun instead of a slow
Emergency Purge (second skill):
Release a burst of air in all directions, pushing back all units and deflecting projectiles.
- Same strength knockback as Purge, but not split between units hit
- Applies a longer silence and movement lock
- Enemy units that hit a wall are stunned
- If used midair will cause Murdoch to briefly hover
"Hoover Mode" (third skill):
Switches Murdoch's bagpipes to hoover mode, applying a strong suction to all enemy heroes in front of him.
- Disables use of gun while channeled
- Any enemy units that are pulled too close to Murdoch are sucked into the air tank
- If any heroes are in the air tank, then after the channel finishes they will be forcibly ejected
- Ejected heroes are silenced and movement locked, and if they collide with a wall then are stunned
- If no enemies are sucked into the air tank, instead build 3 bars of pressure
