The basic concept is a hero whose main gameplay revolves around throwing random stuff from his bag and hoping it hits -- inspired by the satisfaction of landing the tf2 scout's sandman ball, the christmas event snowballs, and also very loosely inspired by dota's invoker.
Backstory for the hero is a brownie/boggart/hobgoblin or some sorta household spirit who served someone with access to lots of magical items, but grew tired of it and decided to leave. Before departing he borrows a bag for supplies, belongings, and a few other trinkets and bobbles that caught his eye. Turns out the bag he borrowed is a magical, bottomless one containing who knows what. Which is great for him because he has a penchant for "collecting" things.
The weapon is just him throwing useless rubbish that he's been collecting and hoarding in his borrowed bottomless magical bag.
As for abilities, I have nothing too detailed -- just some ideas.
Possible abilities -
Rummage
Rummage through your borrowed magical bag to find a more potent object to throw.
Swing Bag
Swing your very heavy borrowed magical bag around to knock back enemies and possibly throw yourself at them.
Throw lots of stuff
Open your bag wide and toss whatever comes out in the hopes it helps.
Eat stuff
Besides throwing this stuff, you don't really know what else to do with it other than eat it.
Anyway, I really just want a hero whose weapon is just throwing things.
Thanks for reading!

- Primary fire is a basic throw with a static trajectory like the christmas event snowballs albeit more accurate.
- Reload is him shuffling his bag.
- Alt fire is a chargeable throw allowing players to throw a faster, further, and more damaging attack.
- Light melee is a smack with his bag
- Heavy melee is a bonk with his throwing hand
- Parry is holding up the bag
As for abilities, I have nothing too detailed -- just some ideas.
Possible abilities -
Rummage
Rummage through your borrowed magical bag to find a more potent object to throw.
So the idea for this ability is the player can use it to ready a random magical object (out of a set selection) that can thrown with alt fire (or maybe primary fire too idk). The effects differ based on what is found. For example, when thrown, one object can slow in an aoe like cold front, another hexes, maybe one sets the ground on fire, one acts like a knockdown stun when it hits, maybe one does nothing at all, and etc.
Along with rummage, a possible companion ability or expansion of rummage can allow players to store the object they find for later use. This lets players amass a collection of different effects to use when needed.
As for how it's used --
The idea is cast to rummage, alt fire to throw or alt cast to store the item. Alt Cast again to ready the object to be thrown. Casting with a stored or held object will rummage for a new object if charges are available.
Rummage will have charges with them representing the amount of objects that can be stored. Charges can be gained from items or leveling up the ability.
One issue that comes up is what if a player wants to throw a normal charged attack and not use an object? Maybe players can unselect by scrolling through to the end of their stored objects ? it seems a bit clunky so i'm not sure.
Perhaps it'd be better to remove the agency to select which object to use and instead have them be used based on the order it was stored.
- Thrown objects will behave like a normal charged attack projectile with no aoe indicators (maybe?)
- Stored and held objects will glow and be visible on the player character, allowing enemies to know what objects are stored based on the colors
- Additional idea is heavy meleeing with the readied object will also use the object.
Swing Bag
Swing your very heavy borrowed magical bag around to knock back enemies and possibly throw yourself at them.
Idea for this ability is a channeled attack that continuously rotates the character, dealing melee damage, knocking back enemies, and eventually throwing the player based on the duration of the channel -- and possibly in the direction the player is facing when the channel ends. However, if the player ends the channel early enough, the character won't be flung.
To use, ideally it'd be hold to channel and let go to end channel but I'm not sure if that's an option in Deadlock yet, so as the game is now it'd be cast and then whatever key it is to end cast.
Throw lots of stuff
Open your bag wide and toss whatever comes out in the hopes it helps.
This ability's a bit less thought out than the others but it's a short ranged aoe that damages and leaves different effects on the ground. Kind of a combination of Viscous's Splatter and Mo and Krill's sandblast.
Eat stuff
Besides throwing this stuff, you don't really know what else to do with it other than eat it.
So with this, it's intended to be an ultimate ability where the player consumes whatever magical objects they managed to get from rummage. And based on the what the object is, it will give players different buffs or even debuffs.
I was thinking that, maybe in the beginning levels, consuming objects will only give more standard buffs like increased weapon damage, spirit, health, movement speed and whatever else. But as players level the ability, it'll unlock the option to consume multiple objects that can give much more outrageous effects based on the combination (much like invoker).
Some effects could be things like a shrink, dota's radiance, spirit scaling fireball attacks, street brawl's seraphim wings, unstable concoction, maybe even a shapeshift like silver, and etc. But if done wrong it could give a debuff of some sort.
To use, players would ready the magical object from rummage and, instead of throwing it, they cast the ultimate to consume the object. The player acquires a buff depending on the object consumed and, once players are able to consume multiple objects, they're given a short window to combine other objects. if they consume the correct combination they'll receive an additional effect and the ultimate will go on cooldown. If the player decides not to consume multiple objects the ability goes on cooldown once the window to combine ends. If the effect gives a new skill it replaces their ultimate until the effect runs out or the player dies.
Anyway, I really just want a hero whose weapon is just throwing things.
