Gameplay: Evileye excels at catching and punishing multiple enemies with poor positioning that are close together.

Abilities:

1. Shackling fear: Shackles the target to an enemy directly behind it, rooting them in place while adding a miss chance to their weapons against Evileye.

2. Dreamwalk- Dash forward as an astral projection while leaving the main body behind. Reactivating the ability or when the timer expires pulls you back to your main body and your weapon is automatically reloaded. Any damage as the astral projection will only transfer 80% of it when returning to the main body.

3. Piercing shot (Passive): Every bullet in his weapon will pierce through targets (enemy hero/trooper/NPCs) till it hits a wall. Each bullet accumulates additional spirit damage each time it passes through a target. (Goes to a 8 sec CD if there was a collateral)

4. Absolute Fear: Fire a mystical shot at a target that will bounce once between enemy heroes/troopers/NPCs in a 15-meter radius that deals spirit damage and applies fear. Grim gains bullet evasion and is unable to be affected by abilities or items that require targeting from feared enemies.

Background: James Lavine aka "Evileye" is the twin brother of Haze who also works in the same organization as her and is a legend in his profession. One day he grew tired of violence and settled in with his beloved wife and his unborn child in a simple and remote location far away from the reach of the organization. The family had known peace for a couple weeks and James was grateful for it and also filled with joy anticipating to be a father. However, James's world turned upside down when he found that his wife and unborn child were murdered with the murder weapon sticking out from his Wife's belly which is a dagger. He knew right away that the dagger belonged to his sister but he just stood and watched his wife's lifeless body for the whole night without a sign of grief or anger. After he buried his wife and his unborn child he quickly came back to New York to bring havoc and burn the place to hell.

That with Ricochet would be game-breaking.

Ricochet's passive will not work on Piercing Shot. In order for Ricochet's passive to work, a bullet must stop at a target and then bounce off to another one. Since the ability pierces/passes through targets it would be impossible for the bullet to bounce off, hence it has no effect. Think of it like an active ability that is constantly being pressed every time you shoot, except it's a passive and activates with the mouse's left click.

His 3rd ability Piercing Shot can be toggled on/off to be able to use certain items.

ngl. I was gonna tear you a new one reading that passive. Then I saw the 8 second cd and thought "hm. Perhaps that's not entirely unreasonable". Still annoying, but manageable. But I do think the bullet evasion and ability immunity is a little overkill on the ult. A bouncing fear shot is bad enough. You got them. You killed them. You might as well add a bonus teabagging motion to the ult, lol

I do understand your point but it's balanced around of its speed projectile/spirit damage/limited radius that it will bounce / AoE abilities. The ult's speed projectile will be similar to Lich's ult in Dota 2 but Evileye's ult only bounces once per target. The spirit damage won't be that huge, but the main show will be the fear. It is not a completely ability immunity, think it of like a Linken's Sphere in Dota 2 which nullifies any single targeted abilities/items. In terms of Deadlock it nullifies abilities or items like Geist's Life Drain (2nd ability) and Soul Exchange (ult) and items like Decay/Slowing Hex/Curse. However he will be vulnerable against Geist's Essence Bomb (1st ability) or Malice (3rd ability) or items like Cold Front or Torment Pulse.

Some of the examples of abilities that will still affect Evileye while he is in ult
- Wraith's Card
- Mirrage Tornado
- Warden's Flask
- Bebop's Hook
- Talons charged shot
- Haze ult
- Pocket' ult
- Seven's ult
- Paradox's ult
- Dynamo's ult
- All of abram's active ability

it's some of the example but there are other more.

Just to clarify: fear. As in, enemies run away from you. That's cc. They're not gonna be targeting you if they're running away from you. You fear them, massive damage, they run away from you, practically silenced, then you gun them down. The bouncing fear shot is just as much of a surefire kill as Haze's ult. The bullet and ability evasion is just mean

Nope, "Fear" is just the name of the effects. Fear in this case is just the bullet evasion and nullifying single-targeting abilities.

Reasoning of why fear is the name of the effect:
- Lore related because his theme is around "Nightmare"

- Since enemies are instilled with fear against Evileye they can miss their shots, hence the
bullet evasion. That's why they can't use abilities against him cus they're too afraid. However, since ability immunity will be overpowered or ability miss chance is too inconsistent, I just made it so it only nullifies "Targeting" abilities, hence the second effect.

Oooooooh. Okay. In league of legends and dnd, fear is a mechanic that forces enemies to run away from you. Charmed is an ability that does the opposite and forces an enemy to approach you. So a bouncing fear shot sounded really cool, and everything else after that sounded like overkill. My bad

I do understand the misunderstanding haha. I was gonna go for the typical "Fear" status but I thought it was gonna be kind of overpowered since it's would had been just a strong point-and-click ability without needing good positioning to use it.
