I'll be making a series of hero concepts that I've been pondering over the years so hopefully the devs and the community might like my contributions enough to get some of it implemented
An Overview of Wendy - A young witch that came from another world where she is one of many parts of a long line of mages that summons monsters. Summoning these monsters are not easy; one needs to form a pact by impressing the creature, making a deal or simply being friends with them in which they'll come when called by their secret name. Her glib yet likeable personality allowed her to make even the most unlikely friends; whether it is a tiny Chromatic Pseudodragon, a previously untameable Hellhound and even an elusive Faerie Dragon.
But one day, trudging through her Academy's forbidden section of their library, she comes across a Black Tome. She wasn't lead here by chance: a soothing voice spoke to her in her dreams. A voice she managed to make friends with. But she can't summon it unless she released it from it. She somehow managed to release the locks and dispel the wards that was keeping it closed and that's when the Abberation behind the voice was released, breaking the expensive roof of the library in the process. She tried closing the book but the energy released from it had permanently disfigured one half of her, giving her scaly demonic look.
Fearing serious repercussions like an expulsion from the Academy, Wendy frantically made her escape through incanting a ritual that would banish herself away to another world; which eventually had lead to her to the Cursed Apple. Luckily for her, after months of wandering around, Wendy had heard rumours of a particular Patron would help save her from her predicament.
She doesn't think she can go back but perhaps releasing from herself from her curse and finally capture the Abberation once more would fix something.
Main Weapon - An intricate wooden wand of sorts where it would shoot magic missiles. Alt-fire will materialize a celestial whip where, when hit, will deal a significant burst of gun damage at close range and slows enemies down for 2 seconds. This takes 1/3 of the max ammo.
Playstyle - Can be very flexible but players may choose to build her according to the summoned creature focused by the player. Recommended that any items built for her would trend towards her role as support, jungling or fighting close combat.
Abilities -
1. Summon Chromatic Pseudodragon -
Summons a Chromatic Pseudodragon. The Pseudodragon will stick to Wendy's shoulder. The summoned creature will breathe fire (or any element tied to the kind of dragon Wendy summoned) when enemies are nearby. This will deal an approximately 34 Spirit Damage per tick (scales with Spirit) in a 10m cone. Levels determine what Pseudodragon she will summon. Can be attacked. If the Pseudodragon dies, it will deal a 30% damage scaled by the Pseudodragon's health. Summoned creature's scales with Wendy's current Vitality. Can be resummoned to full health after cooldown.
Level 1 - Summons Red Chromatic Pseudodragon that deals Fire (Spirit) damage that lingers for 3 seconds after contact.
Level 2 - Summons Black Chromatic Pseudodragon that deals Acid (Spirit) damage that lingers for 3 seconds after contact. The Acid will reduce bullet resistance as long as the Acid is still in effect.
Level 3 - Summons Blue Chromatic Pseudodragon that deals Shock (Spirit) damage that slows enemies by 40% for 3 seconds. When significant Shock damage is dealt, the target will be stunned for 1.5 seconds (duration scales with Spirit)
2. Summon Hellhound
Summons a Hellhound. The Hellhound would act as an independent agent where it would stay close to Wendy and attack any enemies, dealing Light Melee damage (prioritizes Heroes). Levels determine the Hellhound's maturity. Can be attacked. If the Hellhound dies, it will deal a 10% damage scaled by the Hellhound's health. Summoned creature's Health scales with Wendy's current Vitality. Summoned creature's damage scales with Wendy's gun damage and will apply Melee damage effects from items.
Level 1 - Summons Mature Hellhound. This Hellhound will gain Fire damage when damage is dealt. Deals Light Melee damage. Increased Health, Damage and size.
Level 2 - Summons Dire Hellhound. This Hellhound will leave a trail of fire that deals 20 Fire damage per tick. Increased Health, Damage and size.
Level 3 - Summons Venerable Hellhound. This Hellhound gains Unstoppable and Frenzy at low health for 5 seconds. Increased Health, Damage and size.
3. Summon Faerie Dragon
Summon a Faerie Dragon. The Faerie Dragon would act as an independent agent where it will stay close to Wendy. Will target nearby enemies and allies to apply debuffs and buffs for 10 seconds respectively. Applies regeneration buffs to allies. Applies anti-heal to enemies. Levels add to Faerie Dragon's abilities. Can be attacked. If the Faerie Dragon dies, it will deal a 40% damage scaled by the Faerie Dragon's health. Summoned creature's Health scales with Wendy's current Vitality. Summoned creature's effects and duration are scaled by Spirit.
Level 1 - New Buffs and Debuffs. The Faerie Dragon will now add movespeed buffs to allies and slow debuffs to enemies. Duration and effect strength scales with Spirit.
Level 2 - New Buffs and Debuffs. The Faerie Dragon will now add a Barrier to a target ally and reduce Spirit debuffs to target enemies. Duration and effect strength scales with Spirit.
Level 3 - New Buffs and Debuffs. The Faerie Dragon will now dispel any debuff from a target ally and will Curse target enemies. Duration and effect strength scales with Spirit.
4. Summon Abberation
Summon an Abberation. Wendy will sacrifice 30% of her health and become immobile to summon an Abberation from a falling meteor. The amount of sacrificed health cannot be healed until Abberation is killed or disappears. The Abberation will 300 deal splash damage in a 15m radius upon impact. All enemies will be stunned for 3 seconds in within radius. The Abberation would act as an independent agent that will attack any enemies or towers it sees. Can be attacked. Can climb obstacles. It will always move towards and target objectives if there are no enemies nearby. Deals bonus damage to objectives. No damage will be taken if the Abberation dies. The summoned creature will only last for 2 minutes. Levels will determine what abilities the Abberation will unlock.
Level 1 - Stomp unlocked. The Abberation will execute this ability when 2 or more enemies surround it in a 5m radius. Once excuted, any enemy within radius will be stunned for 1.5 seconds and knocked back by 10m.
Level 2 - Eldritch Blast unlocked. The Abberation can target an enemy or objective from afar and shoot a ray of eldritch energy that deals 75 Spirit damage per tick. It will stay in the shooting position for 5 seconds.
Level 3 - Starfall unlocked. The Abberation lifts up its hands to the sky and summons 5 fiery meteors, impacting in around a 35m radius at random. The Abberation will become immobile for 10 seconds while channeling this ability. The channeling can be cancelled.
Appearence - She would resemble a short, scruffy, red haired human girl that has been being spliced with a thorny red demon version of herself. With a large wizard's hat. And large open robe about three sizes bigger than herself. She wears a shirt, skirt and casual shoes. She carries around the Black Tome on her back that she hopes capture the Abberation again. Her colour scheme is mostly red, pink and white.
Relationships with other characters - She's more open towards younger characters but acts more polite towards the more elderly characters. Typically has a friendly disposition but can and will stand her ground when provoked. Enjoys banter and those who can play along. Keeps conversations and speech terse when interacting with more serious, humourless characters. Hates arrogant snobs, avoids self-destructive people. Venator scares her. DO NOT insult her critters (unless it's the Abberation).
Likes - Paige, Billy (she likes to rile him up for bants), Celeste, Graves, Rem, Lash, Ivy, Dynamo, Victor, Mo & Krill, Infernus, Kelvin, McGinnis, Bebop, Viscous, Shiv, Ava
Neutral - Doorman, Paradox, Pocket, Grey Talon, Mirage, Haze, Calico, Warden, Wraith, Sinclair, Abrams
Dislikes - Apollo, Lady Geist, Mina, Holliday, Seven, Silver, Yamato, Vyper, Vindicta, Venator (more like fear than dislike), Drifter, Yamato
I'll come up with her look later when I can get to it!
