Backstory: Thaum is a well known yet reclusive bio-alchemist. He is very well known for his work in potions and concoctions that effect human & human-like entities, and how quickly he can research and produce his creations. But what was not known is the methods he takes for his research, for after the ban on testing experimental alchemical products on sapient life Thaum took to testing his works on himself. These tests started out only having minor side effects, nothing compared to what the results could do for the world. However overtime the mixtures compiled within his system slowly turning into a sickness that even he could not understand. Now he seeks the Patrons to cure him of the ailment of his own creation.
Weapon: Shoots an arching slow moving potion which has a small splash radius on hit.
Ability 1. Has 2 charges, cycle between 2 potion types that effect how the weapon and ability 2 work. potion type 1 makes them do a short damage over time effect. potion type 2 makes them apply a movespeed reduction effect. effects are passive and ability use only changes current active effect.
Ability 1 upgrades. tier 1: +1 charge and get another potion type which makes ability 2 and weapon apply a firerate reduction. Tier 2: increase duration of effects: Tier 3 effects now apply reduced spirit resist, reduced bullet resist, or reduced healing depending on which effect is currently active.
Ability 2. throw 3 larger potions in a spread infront of you which leave a short lived lingering area where they land which will do single tick of a small amount of damage and apply Ability 1 effect.
Ability 2 upgrades. Tier 1: reduce cooldown. Tier 2: potions area linger longer. Tier 3: throw 2 extra potions.
Ability 3. inject yourself with a concoction which gives you healing but consumes your stamina.
Ability 3 upgrades. Tier 1: reduce the duration of any active debuffs on you. Tier 2: gives slight bullet and spirit resist for a few seconds after use. Tier 3: give a small health barrier after use.
Ultimate. Deploy a small workstation that works kind of like the shop but instead of trading with souls you exchange buffs for debuffs. can only exchange 2 buffs for 2 debuffs. Effect will last a decent amount of time, but isn't permanent and won't last you until the next use of Ultimate.
Ultimate upgrades. Tier 1: Gain an extra buff and debuff. Tier 2: shorter cooldown. Tier 3: Can now get 1 buff without a corrosponding debuff.
P.S. sorry for the lack of actual numbers for a lot of this stuff, i don't know how to balance so i just left it very open ended.
