[Hero Concept] Metro, aka Train Lady. What if Deadlock, but it was Portal.

Someone told me I should post my hero idea here ^w^

The general idea is a supportive character that revolves around mobility buffs, but can also be used as a flank/assassin of sorts with all the mobility options.

2 and 1 will never happen unless they apply some Valve magic (like with Portal, which was one big technical trick). It would imply multiple cameras, and that's impossible optimize properly.

3 I can totally see happen, but feels more like an ultimate.

Maybe 1 and 2 could happen if the players didn't have the ability to see through the portals

Amazing concept art. Really fits the game.
I'm not sure if those abilities would directly function in real time gameplay, but I would Valve to give it a try.
Again, AMAZING CONCEPT ART. She would fit so well into the game.

Portal multiplayer is already a thing so it is technically feasible. There is also Wraith from Apex Legends which spawns portals as well, but you cannot look through them. Source 2 is also definitely capable of making it happen, so honestly most things point to the fact that yes, they can have a hero like that.

However, it would probably be more limited compared to how Portal works. I expect that all the physics/momentum conversion mechanics to be impossible or really not worth the effort to do. There is also the question of how it would influence the map and so on. If they didn't plan a hero like that from the start and didn't make the game to work with them from the ground up, then i doubt it will ever happen.

If Splitgate can handle it then so can Valve.

What i learned from the past few years is that whenever someone says something is "not worth" it then nine times out of ten it actually is.

You realize that their entire alpha test was ruined by the existence of the portals right? It would crash and/or freeze the game...

Sure, but it proves that it's very much possible and a very VERY interesting and unique mechanic, and it's not like either marvels or deadlock are finished products. If we were to judge what gets into the game based on performance and optimization alone I'm afraid that you might as well scrap Deadlock entirely as it currently stands.

I don't really care for the 1 and 2 abilities but this is fantastic, and I would love to see the public transport and i like trains ult in the game. For an alternate 1 and 2 there could be a burst of steam like Mo's Scorn (but different and interesting somehow... maybe it blows enemies away?) and some coal burning ability that functions like Seven's 3rd ability.
