Even before the Central Park rift opened, there were places were souls could get lost; in the deep dark hollows of the Appalachian mountains, more than most. Before 'Ixian' was even a word spoken on Earth, there were traditions in the mountain families, passed down from granny to daughter, to keep their brothers, husbands, and sons safe and to guide them to their final, peaceful, resting place. The magic of the land was a blessing, and that blessing runs strong in Hannah McCoy. It's needed too, when folks like Black Spirit Coal Company (a Fairfax subsidiary) come to town, with contracts that sound good in the silver-tongued mouth of a lawyer, but sell your soul to the company store. The Patrons promised Hannah an accounting of everything the operators and their gun thugs took from her people, and repayment with interest.
Gun: Ridge and Valley (Dual-Wielded .32 caliber revolvers) Close Range, Heavy Hitter - 12 round magazine, 20m - 42m falloff range. Main fire fires in sequence rapidly, alt-fire fires both guns together more slowly.
1 - Haint Bottle - McCoy throws a bottle filled with a vengeful spirit. When it lands, the spirit selects the enemy with the lowest health in an area and, after a moment, rushes forwards, dealing spirit damage based on the targets missing health. "...Oops, that was a really dangerous one."
1 AP: Increased targeting AoE
2 AP: More damage/Bigger missing health ratio
5 AP: Twinned spirits
2 - Laurel Bloom - McCoy calls upon the life lying dormant below the pavement of New York to bloom into a dangerous thicket of mountain laurel and smilax. Forms eight zones in two rings, on McCoy's cardinal directions in the inner ring and diagonals on the outer rings. Standing in one of the zones slows and damages enemies, and they should be tall and thick enough to block line of sight (but can still be shot through). (In general, think Dark Willow Q). "Life grows everywhere, even in a city."
1 AP: Enemies lose a stamina when they enter a bloom.
2 AP: The blooms briefly snare enemies when they enter, and disable movement abilities while inside.
5 AP: Third ring with eight blooms, on both cardinals and diagonals.
3 - Foxfire Rounds - McCoy infuses her gun with the mystical guiding powers of Foxfire, helping guide her allies attacks. Bullets apply a stacking debuff that creates a glowing outline on the enemy, glowing more strongly and clearly with each stack. At max stacks, reduces enemy bullet resistance. "This is supposed to guide people home but...I guess a bullet's home is in the other guy's body?"
1 AP: Spirit damage w/ ratio on bullet hit.
2 AP: Outline is visible through walls.
5 AP: Every stack further reduces bullet resistance.
No solid ideas for her 4, other than it should feel truly grand and majestic, reflecting calling on the ancient and wild power of mountains older than North America as a continent.
Interaction Ideas: McCoy: "So, McGinnis, how does being a sell-out feel?"
McGinnis: "Pretty good, actually. The paycheck's great."
Drifter: "Ooh girl, you better watch your back. Witches like you are just my type."
McCoy: "First of all: Not a witch. Second all: Not scared of you; I've seen older haints. Worse, too."
Drifter: *whistles* "My, my, how con-fi-dent. But I've stalked those forests too, and there ain't nothin' like me."
Vindicta: "I don't think I've met a mountain witch before. It's my pleasure!"
McCoy: "Not a witch. Seriously. It's magic from the land, not from...Wherever."
Vindicta: "Oh yes, I remember someone tried that in Salem too. They were hanged all the same."
