Singer became a famous fashion designer for the upper class of the Cursed Apple reaching her fame across seas to places such as France and Italy. Her great success earned her the attention and affection of Jacob Lash. The power couple took their talent to the underground, Lash fighting in the Bear Pit and Singer crafting wardrobes for associate fighters of Lash. Life was good until a tragic event, a package with a mythical bomb hidden inside delivered to Singer's fashion studio sent by an unnamed person but a note with a quote cluing in who it could have been. The eruption of the bomb caused the studio to burn to ash and Singer losing her right arm, left leg and a scar crossing her abdomen. She had to spend several weeks in the hospital with Lash initially visiting but over the weeks he would shorten his infrequent visits until one night, after losing in the Bear Pit he ends the power couples relationship.
Singer, now scared physically and emotionally - fights in the ritual to gain her status back to what she had before the event but this time without Jacob Lash and instead with a sewing needle gun replacing her right arm. Lady Geist, a former and loyal client of Singer recognizes Elanor and wishes to help her succeed. Wraith is uncomfortable when she sees Singer again claiming her stitches were always too tight for the Bear Pit bets. There's a rumor Bebop sent the bomb, but Eleanor knows this couldn't have been true. Their dislike of Lash makes the allies.
