[Hero concept] Crimson, A Dragon Knight

This is my hero concept that I believe has an interesting core premise but it's unfinished and I'd appreciate everyone's help if they have criticism or ideas to add in any way. Whether it be lore, abilities, stats, really anything :] share your thoughts and thank you for reading.

I hope you enjoy!

- Basic concept

A Dragon in Knights armor who form switches based on her health reaching a certain threshold (lets say below 35% health) to break their armor. A form switcher primarily focused on managing your health bar and playing extra aggressive at low health when you're reasonably able to. Instead of it being fully tied to an ult (we'll get to that later) or being an on and off switch from an ability, it's about understanding and judging the situation you're in to capitalize on the power boost when you're low hp. High risk high reward. Glass canon brawler. Her tankiness and ability to brawl is based on not stat checking your opponents, but your ability to ignite as many enemies as possible which grants you temporary health to keep fighting. Your abilities that use fire deal self damage to you in Knight form, but not Dragon form. I'm sure you can imagine from that the dynamics that this character creates for a gameplay loop. Intentionally using or avoiding your fire abilities in order to prepare to brawl with enemies at the right time.

- How it started

The basic concept was, what if a Dragon was also a Knight. I don't remember how but this just came into my head and it spiraled from there. It sounded interesting to me and I'm sure lore wise/conceptually it's like a subverting expectation thing too. A Dragon, instead of hoarding wealth or holding someone captive, is the one doing the protecting or saving. I imagine her as a body guard or protector in some way of someone or something in a noble or honorable way. Her title I imagine to be Crimson but her actual name is Ruby :] a red Dragon woman with silver armor that has some pointy shaped bits for her to fit into her helmet comfortably with her dragon head shape. She'd have wings that stick out of the armor through some gaps. I also imagine some little bits of orange and maybe red or pinkish red on her armor, but this characters lore and visual design is the part I've worked on the least.

Originally I wanted to make a melee focused hero with either some melee abilities or a unique melee/heavy melee, however the concept I made very quickly had nothing to do with melee and funnily enough fitting anything unique around melee was the hardest part, apart from one detail which I do think came naturally and fits the kit well.

- Kit:

- 3 stamina. Gain one max stamina temporarily when you switch into Dragon form and regain one stamina instantly.

- 850 health

Weapon:

Spit fire projectiles out of a gap in her helmet. Landing 4 of projectiles within a 3 second time period ignites the target for 3 seconds, triggering Everlasting fury.

Alt fire:

Hold up a knights shield that negates damage from the front. Can be broken and will slowly restore itself over 10 seconds. Has higher damage negation against melees (and maybe weapon too, to a lesser extent).

- Core passive/s (these could go on an ability or their ult, I'm a little unsure tbh)

- Everlasting fury

Any damage dealt that inflicts this passive ignites enemies for weak damage overtime that gives you temporary health for each tick of damage. Temporary health takes priority over your standard health bar when taking damage, but not shields. Temporary health decays overtime after 6 seconds.

- Dragon/Knight form swapping

If you're dropped below 35% hp, Armor breaks and Ruby gains new properties. Abilities that previously dealt self damage no longer do, have larger AOE's, and deal slightly more damage. Move speed is slightly increased in this form. Light/heavy melee both ignite enemies but for a more brief time than all the other forms of igniting. Heavy melee ignites for longer than light melee.

You will only return to Knight form if your hp stays at/above 35% for 10 seconds. Temporary health is not included in form switching hp calculations.

- Ability 1

Fire breath:

Breathe fire in a cone in front of you to ignite enemies for 4 seconds. Triggers Everlasting fury.

- Ultimate

(unnamed, got any suggestions?)

Knight form:

Casting breaks your own armor to switch into Dragon form and casts a small AOE sphere of fire around Ruby that ignites nearby enemies for 5 seconds of Everlasting fury. Deals self damage to cast but doesn't have to reach the 35% threshold to break the armor. This could be max hp, or current hp based, or an amount that tries to get you closer to the 35% threshold, I'm unsure.

Dragon form:

Very large AOE of fire that ignites nearby enemies for 6 seconds and doesn't deal self damage.

After casting either form of this ultimate you cannot turn back into Knight form regardless of your hp for 10 seconds after activation.

Thank you sm for reading :>

The passives, weapons, ultimate, and one standard ability are all that I found to be cohesive and interesting out of the ideas I've come up with. Suggestions are welcomed :]

My vague ideas for what sorts of abilities could be added are related to her tail, or her wings, or maybeee her sword. She could also have the same passive as Ivy where her gravity is slightly lower than most of the rest of the cast, perhaps only in Dragon form. I think gameplay wise it might hinder her fast brawly playstyle but who knows, I could be wrong I'm unable to test these ideas.

Didn't realise the edit feature disappears after a certain amount of time damn. For Fire breath it deals self damage in Knight form but not Dragon which is explained somewhere else but I was going to add it to the actual ability description. Also their origin and job I imagine to be Ixian related or located potentially.
