[Hero Concept] Bayo, The Revolutionary

Hey, new person to the forums here, I was told about this section of it and decided it would be fun to post a Deadlock OC I've become quite proud of, though Im really not sure if any of these numbers make sense.

[Background]
Peter “Bayo” Hancock had grown up his entire life a patriot. Coming from a line of soldiers beginning in the Revolutionary War, he had always dreamed of enlisting to serve his country. And when the first Maelstrom event occurred and Ixia was opened to America, he had gotten his chance. Ixia was to be the 51st state they said, and handed him a rifle and bayonet to make it so.

The long years of that war had drained Peter of all of his patriotic spirit, by the end he was ready to finally give in and go home, if only he hadn’t walked in on that command tent. Coming out an arm lighter and aware of things he shouldn’t have been, he deserted the army and fled back to his home city of New York. Laying low for decades and entertaining himself with foreign literature, Bayo has arrived back on the frontlines in his old uniform and wielding his old rifle. He seems to summon the patrons, knowing that once everyone knows what he knows, there won’t be an America left to die for.

[Interactions]
Haze:
“I can only imagine the horrors of the OSIC getting a wish.”

“And I can only imagine the mess you’d make with yours.”

“Seems we’re at an impasse then.”

“So it seems.”

“Haze, you know you and your entire organization will hang once I’m done?”

“You don’t scare the OSIC Bayo, the only reason you’re still alive is because you’ve never been worth going after.”

“Send your samdmen into my dreams I warn you you’ll regret it. My mind is not a safe place for your kind.”

“Trust me soldier, we’ve killed worse.”

Mirage:
“Mirage, your employers would do best to be ready to bargain with me for Wyoming”

“The Djinn plan to buy it from the US Government, why would we bargain with you?”

“Because soon there will not be a US to buy Wyoming from.”

Dynamo:
“Professor, I don’t understand how such a learned man as you can be so positively… giddy.”

“I consider myself as somewhat of a realist Bayo, but that doesn’t mean I can’t still have some hope in the future.”

“Hope is well and good, but doesn’t your knowledge of the world not fill you with the slightest rage?”

“Oh I’m plenty angry, but it doesn’t do any good to constantly act on it.”

“I suppose I must respectfully disagree then.”

Geist:
“Your crimes against the proletariat are numerous Geist, even ignoring that demon in your arm.”

“Please, the entire reason I’m here is rid myself of this burdensome thing.”

“That won’t save you from the noose.”

Pocket:
“Pocket you’re naive, you really wanna bring down Fairfax, then help me kill your father.”

“I want to stop him, not kill him.”

“And why not?”

“He’s still my father.”

“And did you being his kid stop him from hiring Calico?”

“You may not see it this way Pocket, but being shot was the best thing to ever happen to you.”

“Knowing people want to kill me and being forced to hide in the gutter is a good thing?”

“Nah, it’s that it’s kept you out of the coming firing line.”

Mo and Krill:
“You two aren’t the biggest fans of the government are you?”

“I speak for both of us when I say no, we are not.”

“How open would you be to a little, revolt?”

“How much of a revolt are we talking about here?”

“Bombs under the white house?”

“I believe you have mistaken our dislike of government to suicidal ideation Bayo.”

Victor:
“Tell me Victor, what do you plan to do once you find your creator?”

“Don’t know, guess I’ll figure it out once I find em.”

“If you ask me, you ought to drive one of your staples through his head. Anyone sick enough to make something like you doesn’t deserve to live… no offense.”

“None taken.”

Seven:
“A fellow enemy of the state I see.”

“For wholly different reasons.”

“Bayo, you wound me.”

“Oh don’t confuse your petty ego trip with my revolution seven. Our enemies are the same but we cannot be more different.”

“And here I was thinking of you as somewhat of a colleague.”

“…well if you do plan to destroy the OSIC after this I won’t stop you.”

“That’s the spirit.”

McGinnis:
“You planning to lecture me?”

“Why would I do that McGinnis?”

“Just seem like the type is all, you’re constantly yelling at everyone else who works for a living.”

“Well worry not, I have no reason to waste my breath on a woman destined for the gallows.”

“I cannot believe the patrons are making me work with you.”

“What, you don’t wanna work with a genius engineer who revolutionized the occult industry single-handedly?”

“Your revolution has only brought more bloodshed in this world, Fairfax is leading the world to ruin.”

“Hey, I’ll stop making weapons for Fairfax when Fairfax stops paying so well.”

“Oh trust me… that money will dry up very soon.”

I like the banter. I do hope that he has some dialogue with some characters that isn't him constantly berating them or trying to enlist them in a revolution, though. Even a man as spurned and jaded as him should have some shred of light-heartedness left within him. A glimmer in the dark, so to speak.

Thank you, and yah I did go intentionally extreme on the interactions I included in this post because i wanted to make his vibe very clear.
