Ambrose The Wave Rider

Background: Ambrose is a crazy fisherman and a thrill seeker who likes to catch exotic mystical fishes and sells it on Cursed Apple's black market.

Gameplay: Ambrose is a tank who specializes in disrupting enemies in a fight and is a very effective roamer.

Weapon: Has a one-handed spear fishing gun with ammos and reserves that works similarly to Grey Talon's bow and arrow.

Abilities:

1
: Casts his fish pole onto the ground and yanks a mystical fish upwards. Any enemies inside the radius will be damaged and be knocked up.

2: Deal melee blows to either enemy heroes or NPCs to charge a bar. Once it’s full, activate the ability to gain a shield of water that circles around him that deals damage. If the shield is either destroyed or has expired it will burst and damage enemies nearby.

3: Summons and rides a boat that can be steered using mouse. Once casted, it will purge any movement slows currently applied while also gaining movement speed.

4: Summon huge waves around him that pushes back enemies away from him in a radius. Any allies inside the radius will gain a shield.

What do you guys think? Any opinion is much appreciated. (Picture is not mine btw)

Love the concept of a seafaring type character. Great ideas here!

1: Sounds similar to Dynamo's, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but it might be cool to have it apply a slow or other debuff. Something to differentiate it a bit...maybe he could even hold the fish after pulling it up and attack with it, haha

2: Would be cool if it could be cast on allies as well, could increase his viability as a support character. I feel like maybe gun damage as well as melee could charge it up? Maybe melee charges it faster? Maybe the fish from 1 charges it even faster??

3: Great tool for escape or going in to initiate

4: Love the idea of an AOE pushback as an ultimate

Overall has potential for a support or combat focus, depending on build. Reminds me of Poseidon abilities from Hades (indie roguelike game).

I really do love your suggestion with the first ability and I'm thinking once Ambrose catches the fish, his next melee will deal spirit damage and give a burst of heal for Ambrose and nearby allies around the target. Also another great suggestion for the second ability and it really makes sense so he can be flexible when building him. Before I thought he was gonna be op if the charge includes gun damage but now I think it really fits well since his gun is not an auto and just make the bar takes a lot to charge while rewarding melees and hitting 1. I really do appreciate the feedback.
