Hero Based MMR goes down after rank up

I recently ranked up to Eternus 3, and it completely destroyed my hero based MMR. Beforehand, I had many "up arrowed" heroes even though many of them didn't make too much sense. Now, I only have 2 "up arrowed" heroes, and they are heroes I don't play. It also put my main hero on down arrow, which will negatively affect my match quality.

I have less than 200 games on Haze and McGinnis combined, and I have not played Haze possibly since January 2025.

This isn't a bug. It's quite literally in the given context of the message. You're no longer in the top 50% of people who play that hero in your rank, you're in the sub 50%. Those Haze/McGinnis games are still considered to be higher than the average Haze/McGinnis games of Eternus 3 players.

You're not performing above the top 50% Eternus 3 Seven players, simply put. You have a very wide spread of games but you average 27k hero damage on Seven (inclusive to Street Brawl and Standard). I sit high relative to skill rating and average 43k hero damage.

Begin playing better and you'll see that arrow update.

Not to be rude but theres just no shot it works like that at all man, its definitely completely based on win/loss. Those haze games are in ritualist lobbies and the mcginnis games are me running it down with turret mcginnis. Are you a new player?
