Grave Robber - 800 Vitality Item

When a player with Grave Robber scores or assists a kill spawn a gravestone at that player's last position (Follows the same rules as soul bag.) The tombstone counts as level geometry and can be mantled on as well as blocking projectiles similar to Graves tombstone (roughly the size of victor crouching length and height wise (slightly smaller) but about as thick as the thin signs so hugging it too close can get you shot from the other side.) Heavy melee destruction grants two golden statue buffs and the current trooper soul value to any killer or assister who also has Grave Robber. If you are on the team that did not score the kill it just grants the soul value of a trooper at that moment.

Key concepts:
  • 2 gold statue buffs + trooper amount souls on scoring team, only trooper amount of souls on enemy team
  • Gravestone is essentially a smaller version of the thin signs seen on the side lanes.
  • Increases the healing that medic troopers drop (to incentivize playing at low health (though it may be problematic to balance))
Rationale: Often the most enjoyable part of lane to me is the melee scuffles at low health, parry baiting, and high risk play of greeding for a kill. Grave robber incentivizes this while trying to not go too overboard on snowballing. The tombstone has counterplay on both teams with parries and either side using it as a defensive tool to either run away or stay aggressive. It also offers more level geometry to potentially edge boost off or mantel slide. With the reward being based on the current value of other scaling components it also doesn't mean that dying is too much of a worry.

I love these super gimmicky offbeat items, i love economy items and i love punching people and i love parrying. So this is like my perfect item, I would buy this literally every game.

My only issue is maybe its needs some downside, maybe the graves give the buffs if an enemy claims it also. Because, like with soul bags, usually the killer team claims the bag as they have just killed so they have more space and power. So itd make sense to just ramp up the risk reward a little more by letting it be a bit more even.

Also maybe having some negative stat on it like the egg does would be smart. Then again rebuttal exists with no downside so idk
