Game opened as though I was a new player and some settings reset

When launching the game today, the game gave me the intro as though it was the first time I had played the game and said something along the lines of "It looks like you haven't played the game before" when I entered hero select. Additionally, my sound settings, reticle settings, and hero selection preference were reset to default, having not saved my preferences. Oddly however, all my other settings were saved.

For context, I have 370 hrs in the game and have not encountered this bug before.
