Game crashes when going into any match

I'm playing the game for the first time since the update and it's just not letting me, every time I try to boot into a match, beit fully private, with bots or normal it'll just fully close the game. When I relaunch it it gives me the option to rejoin the match but when I try it just closes the game again.
I know it's not a specs issue because the game runs perfectly outside from when it tries to load me into a match.
It's not an internet issue because other games load perfectly.
And I also tried uninstalling and re-installing the game which also didn't fix the issue.
I'd really like some help, I don't want to have to wait until the next update just to play.

I'm also having the same issue.
Not sure if this is relevant but the "pre-loading map and shaders" pop-up in the botton right says: completed 0 of 0

It also says the same for me, maybe that's the issue? But even then I'd still need some help to figure out how to even fix it

Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Deadlock\game\citadel\maps, delete the “maps” folder, then try verifying the files again to see if that works. If it doesn't, try disconnecting and reconnecting your internet connection—it's just a suggestion, but it can't hurt to try.

Tried both, even tried changing to Wifi, the ''pre-loading map and shaders'' thing is still there and still says ''completed 0 of 0''

Nope, have never uploaded anything myself to the workshop(Apart from yk my personal l4d mod lists) if that's what you mean

And no, I also don't have anything in the game, I don't have any mods or anything, my game's fully vanilla

Yep, in fact I did re-validate the steam cloud and also reset it, neither worked

I forgot too, lol. I’m hesitant to bother them, but I wish it had been specified that we could tag certain people for some topics. Okay, I know one guy—he’s a good guy who checks the bug reports every now and then. I hope I remember his name; I’ll tag him in two minutes.

Okay, I finally found it—this person seems to know a lot about optimization. Since your issue is related to loading problems (I believe map loading is part of optimization), this update should help you. I don’t think it’s been optimized properly on your end.

If you wait, does the prompt eventually go away? Even though it says "0 of 0", if that prompt is visible, that means we are still preloading the map in the background.

No, I don't know if I stated it in this thread but I also thought the same, thus I waited for 2 or 3 hours, nothing. Edit: Might've been more than that, possibly 4 hours
