On a 4090, thought it was because of a driver issue (I've had it before where a Nvidia driver caused the fan control to just not work) but not the case. From testing this is isolated to just Deadlock and has been happening since the 4/30 update.
It's hard to diagnose because it doesn't crash the game, it shuts the GPU down. Temperatures are fine (range from 60-80 C, not my favorite but not in crashing territory. Tested it on other games like death stranding which hits similar temps and no issues. I'll test more games and update. Also tried previous NVidia drivers but no luck, also tried the most up to date driver, no luck. Tried forced dx11 and lowered settings, nothing.
Generally the issue occurs most when the game boots, while alt-tabbed there's no issue but then tabbing in to the game will cause my monitors to go dark. This requires a hard reset each time. Happens in both street brawl and regular matches, which means I've largely been avoiding regular matches because this obviously negatively impacts me but also my team.
Since the issue is with the GPU shutting down there isn't a crash log I can reference either. I also checked system log for anything and can't seem to find any source for it. I legitimately have no clue what the cause could be at this point. Not sure how common this is for people either?
