Game crash if trying to reconnect to match

The game experiences a freeze when the reconnect/abandon screen is shown. I'm not able to select any option and when I try to close the game through task manager/steam, the game window is closed but the application on steam still shows as running and stopping it just locks the game into "stopping.." and nothing progresses. My task manager also freezes and crashes after this happens. The only thing that fixes it is restarting my PC.

This could honestly be a windows issue with their AI programming, is anyone else experiencing this or has any tips of fixing it?
