fleetfoot upgrade

fleetfoot has a really good passive that certain heroes will want all game long. problem is, it's really cheap, so late game you're stuck with this 1600k item that you can't really sell. it should upgrade into another item, maybe shadow weave? we could also bring back cross-category upgrades. i think it would make a lot of sense for fleetfoot to upgrade into juggernaut. they both grant move speed and slow resist. fleetfoot is already a mini juggernaut basically. alternatively, there could be a new item that fleetfoot upgrades to. what that might be i'm not sure, all i can think of is something that grants slow resist and move speed, which is basically juggernaut. i'm sure valve can come up with something better.

For a better fleet foot you can look at heroic aura. In fact that could be an upgrade path.
well you'd have to add the slow resist and fleetfoot passive but yeah that would make sense. you might need to nerf heroic aura a bit though because this would be kinda OP i think. heroic is already pretty good.

Fleet foot has been historically pretty interesting. Lots of the time its either abused and sort of a mandatory buy for a large part of the cast or basically useless with little to no one buying it. I think an upgrade to a 3200 item makes sense but is a little difficult to do. Since fleet foot has so many effects I think a new item would probably need to come to play. Perhaps a 3200 green item? Although I'm not really sure what the effects would be.

Yeah its much better with the spike but a lot of the characters who want fleet foot (m1 carries) are pretty slot locked so buying a 1600 item with no upgrade isn't ideal.

Would actually love any and all 3200 or 6400 upgrades for Fleetfoot. It's in almost all my builds and I keep wanting to upgrade it into something.

Maybe a green item since it's basically green anyway.

Adding an upgrade to fleefoot would require some balancing.

Since it upgrades into some other item, it means fleetfoot is a lot more worthwhile than before. The thing about T1/T2 items that don't upgrade further is that their strength is balanced from the fact that you are forced to keep a T1/T2 item in your build unless you want to give up on the effect.
Items like Rebuttal, Resto Shot or Stalker are a good example, with the item being relatively balanced from the fact that it doesn't upgrade any further and therefore you are sacrificing item investment as long as you keep it in your build later in the game.

Personally I think Fleetfoot could get an upgrade and still be relatively balanced, albeit it will be picked a bit more based on what items it upgrades into.

As for the item fleetfoot would upgrade into, you also have to consider that an item upgrading from something means you are gradually building up towards that item instead of having to save souls up for it which leaves you at a more balanced soul cound before getting the item.

People suggested Heroic Aura as an upgrade and I do agree is does make sense but in this state it would make the item too strong (not even considering Heroic Aura having to get the Fleetfoot passive) so it does need a bit of a nerf to keep it in-check balance-wise.

Yup I agree with all of this. As of right now I think stamina is much more impactful than move speed so I don't think an upgrade to fleet foot would break the game at all. I also don't think any items really fit into an upgrade for fleet foot aside from maybe Juggernaut but it would definitely need to be rebalanced, especially with how it upgrades out of enduring speed already. IMO best course of action is making a new item but I'm not quite sure what that would be.

I think an active item that gets rid of all slow effects for a little bit would be worth testing imo.
